Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Orange City

Worst service ever....👩‍💼 This restaurant need a manager that knows how to run a busy restaurant like this one! Now let me tell you, there was lots of table still available.

1st waited more then 10 in the waiting area! After that a couple walk in & that's when we get noticed. Me being a gentleman tell the host to go ahead and get them a table, since one was handicap.

2nd was seated but had to wait another 10 minutes before any waiter or waitress would even acknowledge my presence. Remind you there is a small computer that you can call for service.... After 10 minutes I decided to activate this sistem, only a red light will flash so they can see if passing by. Such bs... After waiting for God knows how long, a waitress came by and ask the dumb question "know one has taken care of you" deep breath!!!

Order me a onion soup & ice tea... Waited again until finally arrived. In taste the soup wasn't good enough for my taste. 🐂LH Restaurant has the best onion soup any time!

3rd order my main dish & was curious of an all you can eat!! Started with the shrimp with side of smash potatoes. Well my server never arrived with my food, just this 👱blonde tall server that drop it of no questions just drop & go, not knowing I don't have utensils to eat my hot food!! Since my dirty dishes from the soup was there didn't have other choice after waiting for my server to arrive, I had to use my soup spoon to eat.🤕 No seasoning 👨🏻‍🍳 at all and the plate sat so long under the food warmer in the kitchen that by the time arrived the tartar sauce was as hot as the previous soup! Who in their right mind would put tartar sauce under the heating element?? 🤔 Ok.. there are 2 options on the menu but online there is actually 3. Shrimp, chicken, ribs. Make up your mind people!

I was thinking I'm ordering me the ribs, since shrimp were not good at all.... I'm over here waiting again to find out she had put in an extra order of shrimps without asking me if that would be my choice!! Remind you the offer was all you can eat & mix of any of the 3!! I tell her no there not good at all, please can I get ribs instead.... More wait time and when arrived she bring the chicken!! What the hell?? I'm still taking it easy all the way till the end. Miss I order ribs, she apologized and I wait more! Ribs come out but meat stuck to bone like you have to fight with this ribs hahaha 🤣 I'm just watching some YouTube videos and drinking iced tea telling myself this can't be real... Hahaha

This place was running with lack of supervision at all, I would look around and many table was still waiting to be served correctly. I will never visit this restaurant again. I was headed to 🌳🌳🌳🌳 Restaurant where they truly have great ribs, but I had a change of thought just to give this 🍎🐝 a chance.

This place deserves 0 stars. Arrived around 10pm. Waited about 15-20 minutes for a server to take our drink order. He took our appetizer, beverage and food order at the same time. Appetizer came out about 10 minutes later and still hadn’t gotten beverages. I had to ask for our beverages again. Then waited for our beverages from a different person. It took 34 minutes to get a Diet Pepsi and a Mountain Dew. About 20 minutes later our food came out. My meal was missing an ingredient and the woman who brought it out said “they are out of it so I hope it’s okay without it.” If I would have known this beforehand, I wouldn’t have ordered it. The server was not attentive at all. Our cups sat empty almost the whole time. The woman who brought our food advised us that she would take my meal off. We both ordered the same thing, but my husband ordered it without bruschetta, so he didn’t end up with a missing ingredient like I did. The three cheese penne is $2 extra on the 2 for menu. So in this case if she took $10 off to comp my meal, that means we paid pretty much full price for our appetizer because technically this is 2 for $29. If both our meals are worth $10 each, that made the appetizer $9 and the appetizer regular price is $9.99 but half off during happy hour. This meal took a little over 90 minutes from start to finish, so glad that I could sit there that long to watch my husband eat and have to beg for a drink. At the end of my husbands meal, I suggested to him to get his card out to pay for when the server brings our check because he will take ages to come back. He came back and asked if we needed a box. He brought the boxes and a bag but no check. Had to wait even longer to get the check.

Prior to this, we have tried dining in on a few different occasions recently and have walked out. The last time we tried, we walked in and got on the waitlist and were told a short 15 minute wait. There was no one else waiting. Went and sat in the car because we had our son with us. Went back in after quite awhile had passed and they told us that it would be over an hour to get a table. We left.

The service has been terrible recently and tonight was the tip of the iceberg. I will not be coming back to this location ever again. If you do not sit at the bar, your server tends to forget about you. They have extremely long wait times even when the restaurant is not busy. Applebees used to be my one of favorite restaurants, but I will have to start going elsewhere and spending what little extra money I have. We paid $27.89 tonight and all I got out of it was 1 beverage I had to beg for and then a refill just as we were leaving, a few mozzarella sticks, and the pleasure of sitting and watching my husband eat his food for 90 minutes. 07/31/2020 2 Stars My daughter and I stopped in for dinner. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we were set at a table by a window that had a flashing parking lot light. We asked to be moved to another table. They cleaned a table then the host came back and said the parking lot light on that side of the restaurant was flashing too. We eventually got a table that had a shade that blocked the flashing parking lot lights.

We waited about 15 minutes and the host came back and said he would take our drink order. Our server came by several minutes later introduced herself and asked for our drink order. We were ready to order and let her know the host had taken our drink order. We placed our order. The host brought out our waters and later came back with the house salad. My daughter asked our server to order an appetizer since we had waited so long. I asked my daughter what kind of drink she order and what it looked like. There were two orange drinks sitting on the bar for over 10 minutes. 5 minutes later the server brought them both out. No one let my daughter know it was bogo on the drinks. Our order came out. My daughter appetizer came out as well. I order the Bourbon steak again. It was not the melt in your mouth steak I previously order. The steak was tough and the mushrooms and onions tasted like they were cooked in old grease. The garlic potatoes were edible but not nice. We we sitting on the same side of the restaurant as two people that were hacking up their lungs. No one said anything to them and just let them cough during our meal.

06/30/2020 4 Stars My wife, daughter, and I stopped for dinner. We were pleasantly greeted by the host.

Mariah was our server and she greeted us at our table with a happy and friendly greeting. She to our drink and appetizer order. We ordered as soon as she came back. I had the bourbon steak with garlic mash potatoes and a house salad. My also ordered the 8oz Top Sirloin. Our food was perfect. The steak melted in my mouth and the garlic mashed potatoes were wonderfully buttery with a hint of garlic.

The only negative part of the experience was the restroom with the broken exhaust fan that stunk of urine even before opening the door. This was very disappointing and spoil an almost...
