BIBIBOP Asian Grill — Restaurant in Orange

Let's get into the visit. Beautifully decorated and well-kept location. We were greeted upon entry which is always welcoming. It wasn't a fake or forced welcoming either which we all have witnessed. My brother and I have never experienced Bi Bi Bop before so we were a little unsure as their process as you approach the counter is several options. How hard could it be right? Well I just informed the worker who was putting on fresh gloves we've never been there and wanted a breakdown of the process.

She was very customer-oriented and polite about it. She explained each process and it is what you could have guessed. We didn't feel like holding up the line with any questions or stumbling through the process. First you select your base which has a great selection, and then building your bowl from there.

I chose the Teriyaki Potato Noodles as my base. From there it was just building things onto it like cheese, carrots, corn, cucumbers et cetera. I got double steak myself (go-to at Chipotle). They had Steak, Chicken, Spicy Chicken and Cauliflower Rice as option. Tried the Spicy Chicken from my brothers and it was tender and delicious.

From there you choose from a wide variety of sauces. I'm usually not a sauce guy but when it comes to Asian food I try a lot of things. I had Teriyaki and Sesame Ginger. I tried the Yum-Yum and Cucumber Wasabi from my brothers and it added a great flavor to the bowl.

Overall I was blown away by the quality of the food and price. Enough to make me go back for dinner on the same day for it again and tweak some things I got. It's priced similar to Chipotle, but well worth the price structure. There's many things I want to try moving forward when going there.

This was our first time at this restaurant. It was easily accessible, clean, open space with beautiful orchids throughout. There are regular booths and communal seating inside and tables with umbrellas outside. The line was medium length but went extremely fast. We told the server that we had never been there and didn't know how to order. She immediately explained the process and was very friendly. She answered all my numerous questions with much patience. The food looked fresh. You can get any one of the multiple sauces on your bowl at the end of the serving line or opt to get the sauce on the side at the sauce bar (which I chose) . There is Free Miso soup for everyone with bowls at the end of the sauce bar. Since the place was packed a friendly couple invited us to join them at one of the communal round tables. We accepted . They had been to one of the Columbus locations. We all sat together and enjoyed a delicious meal while talking about our different bowl selections and entertaining the idea of ordering a special TEA. In the Other corner of the restaurant they were making special milk teas . They had a tray of samples that they were giving out and were answering questions about all their different homemade selections. We ordered a Pineapple Blitz with strawberry bubbles. BUBBLES!!!! Never in my life have we ever had a drink with bubbles. Too unique to describe but.. a must for everyone to try. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Cannot wait to go back again and...

I love to eat here. It’s totally gluten free. And you can get vegan options. Like a tofu bowl with tons of vegetables.

I like the tofu bowl with the sweet potato noodles and the superfood salad, carrots, corn, cucumbers, kale, red cabbage, and sesame seeds. The tofu is so tasty you don’t even need any sauce.

I love that they have miso soup, which can also take the place of some of the sauses. Since I can’t eat the sauces, this is perfect.

For the most part, the staff is really friendly and helpful and the manager is really nice.

If you go during lunch or dinner time, it’s pretty busy, so expect to spend some time in line. Most customers are friendly and serendipitous conversations are sparked. And depending on the season, the seating can be limited. In the nice weather there’s an outdoor option.

Bipibop is one of the only totally gluten-free places, where you can get really good vegan options, made the way you want it.
