Bloom and Brew — Restaurant in Orange

UPDATE: Adding another star for their prompt and exceeding customer service. They immediately reached out apologize and gave me a refund. I should probably not have high expectations of the brand as each location operates and do their recipes/products differently.

I am a regular for 2 months at the Ding Tea near Disney while I am in OC. Today I couldn’t go to that place because I don’t have a car, so I decided to order a lot to stash for my entire week without a car on Postmates.

I thought I would get the exact quality but I ordered 5 drinks, and not one was up to my expectations. The Thai Tea tastes like powder, the color is stale, completely watered-down, not vibrant orange and does not taste like what I would expect at all. The only reason I get Thai Tea is I thought they would brewed their tea and add milk or cream, but this place add milk powder/or use the instant Thai Tea powder. I would send a complain to the franchise to get their franchise make things right instead of cutting corners.

This is probably one of my favorite boba/tea place to hangout when I'm in the O.C. area. Very cozy and the staff is really friendly. You could tell that it's not like any other Ding Tea because they have put a lot of effort designing the place. Making it more welcoming and just a really nice place to hangout and enjoy your drink. Most Ding Tea I've been or any other baba place is pretty plain. They have a pretty good selection of drinks if you've never been to one. They have milk tea, yogurt, latte, hot drinks, fruit juice, coffee etc. It's not like any typical boba place where they serve snacks. Here they only serve drinks. I don’t know if every Ding Tea is like this but I won’t be coming back here. Staff are nice but every time I went in something wrong happened. My drink was always made wrong and the what seemed like supervisor tried to disagree/argue with me about it. I gave up and always left unsatisfied. I usually get a tea drink with no cream and boba because I’m vegan. WARNING TO VEGANS: The non dairy creamer has whey in it aka NOT vegan. Whey is a bi-product of MILK and is the second ingredient of non dairy creamer. Staff need to educate themselves about this. Every time I went in I was attempted to be convinced this wasn’t true....
