Horrible place. They took 45 minutes to serve us reheated days old tamales that were dry, and did not taste. We also ordered a chorizo burrito, and it was disgusting. The champurrado was rather tasteless and cold.
We reluctantly ate the tamales. But had to return the burrito, and they did not return our money for it.
Also when ordering their machine was down and it literally took 30 minutes just to charge us. And there was no apology or discount offered for the inconvenience. They were running the credit card, then ended up charging cash, and did not provide a receipt.

Read moreThis place has the rudest owners. The owner lady is tolerable rude but the daughter (younger female) is a total snot. They act as if your presence is bothering them. There's always someone in there talking to one of the workers like full blown catching up and they don't bother to pause their conversation to be hospitable.
My husband won't go there at all because he thinks they are rude, I always kinda ignored it but now that I've noticed he's right. People seem to like the tamales I've never had them. The cakes are not good at all! They have a poor selection and won't work with you to create a cake...
Read moreI had a potluck lunch at work today and I remembered La Poblana from when I used to live the area.
I ordered one dozen tamales de pollo and one dozen tamales de puerco along with a mix of pan dulce.
All of them were the hit of the potluck with several coworkers asking where they could get some.
Thankfully, I stashed a couple of tamales for later because they went quickly at the potluck.
Guess where I am going to pickup my Christmas tamales next week. Yup...at La Poblana.
