BiG AL’S Pizzeria — Restaurant in Orange

Ordered from here twice in less then a week. Don't think we will be going back.

Pro: Pizza is great, we had a half & half Lebanese Garlic Chicken and Smoked Beef Brisket. Both taste great in their own ways. You wouldn't think pickled turnips and pickles would work on a pizza but it dose, almost like a palate cleanser.

Pro: Pizza came out quick and was hot and fresh. The toping stay to each side of the pizza very well ( not a lot of cross contamination).

Pro: place looked clean but nothing special

Con: they have political stuff up. while I don't care much other people might for good or bad. They have a Gaza Aid donation jar and a sign on the drink cooler that lists who is welcome. I guess I grew up when the good old "Welcome Sign" was more then good enough for everyone.

Big Con: Customer service or lack of is going to kill this place fast.

Visit 1 (pickup to go): My girlfriend called, they said hello. That was it... No "Hi, this is Big Al's Pizzeria, what can we get started. No Hi. Nothing but a stern hello. She asked if this was Big Al's Pizzeria and the response was "yes" that was all. She finished the order online, hung up the phone, looked at me and said " wow, they are so rude, the pizza better be worth it". She went to pick up the order and when she got home she said "their not any nicer in person".

Visit 2 (dine-in): Me and my two co-workers get there. We order the pizza and not even asked if we wanted a drink (we got nothing to drink, not even water). When they brink out the food she starts to put it on the table saying nothing and walks away when done. When my co-workers goes to get a box for left over pizza and she slides it across the counter.

Both co-workers said the pizza was good but they would not come back due to the service. I'm in the same boat. My girlfriend doesn't want to come back as well.

Words of advice to the owner: your company will fail with customer service like this. 3 of the 4 people I know are a hard pass on coming back and me (the 4th) wont come back without at lease one of the other 3. I'm not sure if you hire people due to nepotism or if its just bad luck on hiring but you need to change something soon if you want Big Als to be...

All my husband wanted was BIG AL for his birthday and we got it. We got pizza and wings. The price was crazy expensive. For one pizza and 8 wings it was about $50… crazy right. In this economy it’s not something I can buy for just the small amount of food on a regular, but I would definitely come back on a special occasion.

The wings had great options, my favorite thing was that you could get the wings plain and pick two sauces on the side. We picked buffalo and jerk sauce. The wings without the sauce were delicious, but the sauce elevated them. The jerk sauce is SPICY!!! I mean super SPICY!!! Thank god we got it on the side. One little dot will be having your mouth burning for 15 mins. There is no way someone can eat this if it was covered in sauce unless you’re the spice king. The thing is the jerk sauce was delicious lol! It was so delicious even though my mouth was almost numb I kept trying to eat it.

The pizza was amazing. Everything was perfectly cooked and the crust was perfect. I don’t think I have had pizza THIS GOOD anywhere else. Was is worth what we paid absolutely, but again in today’s economy one pizza for almost 50 is a bit much nonetheless when the time comes I...

Big Al’s Pizzeria Oh my goodness! This place is fabulous!!! We (a party of 10) spontaneously showed up on 2/20/2024 around 2pm to celebrate a couple who just wed at local court house. Apparently Big Al’s Pizzeria is one of the bride’s fave places! Personally, I’m picky and I only eat cauliflower crust pizza, unfortunately they didn’t have, BUT WHO CARES AFTER TASTING THEIR FOOD! DELICIOUS & YUMMY!!! We, my hubby, daughter & I ordered separately from the wedding party, chose several items to try from menu. We ordered 2 build your own pizzas and their version of a Marguerite pizza, a pepperoni, sausage pizza, 2 orders of crispy chicken with various dipping sauces and their INCREDIBLE BBQ Brisket Sub! I haven’t forgot the young man, I’m old, behind the counter who took the orders of us all, the call-in orders, plus delivery orders, makes all the food, then brought everything to the table, with plates, plenty of napkins, anything we needed with a great smile, positive attitude.
