Our dining experience was unique this last time. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for my daughter's 7th birthday. Our party of 8 was 4 adults, 4 children. They sat us in the bar room and apologized that the booth wasn't available, saying it was reserved for a funeral. At first things were fine, we ordered and our drinks came out. As time passed more people came into the room, and they all seemed to know each other. It started getting loud and rowdy. At times we covered the kids ears at a few of the things being shouted across the room. We would have asked to be moved but we were almost finished with our meal by this point. Then one of the workers opened the door that was behind our table because patrons were going outside to smoke. smoke smell and heat were making us uncomfortable. We mentioned it to the worker, and also pointed out that the small child that was with the large group was running around and that there was a train platform outside. She just rudely answered "That's his mom right there, if she doesn't have a problem with it, then neither do I" We were ready to go at this point, but the bartender, who was also our server, was busy pouring shots for the whole group and hadn't brought us back our credit card. We finally flagged him down for it when someone shouts, "Does everyone have a shot?" Then they do two speeches to memorialize their friend "F*in' Bobby" as we were stuck at our table, in the middle of the room! We got up as soon as they finished and I grabbed a worker on the way out to ask him why the heck they sat my family in the middle of a funeral!? He didn't apologize, he just argued that it wasn't a funeral, and then asked me why we didn't move. The whole scenario was super awkward, but his brush off attitude actually made me mad. So to wrap up things, the food was excellent, the service started out good, the bartender was trying considering the circumstances, but this will forever be the birthday party where we sat in the middle of a funeral...
Read moreI experienced the most inconsistent and unprofessional staff here that I have experienced at a restaurant in a long time; possibly ever. I called on the phone to make sure there were options within my dietary restrictions and the first person I spoke too started naming off vegetarian options when I asked for vegan options because I don’t eat animal byproducts. One of the “veggie” burgers they recommended to me had milk in it and the First Lady I spoke to was very rude. She left me on hold for a few minutes “checking” then the manager picked it up finally and she found out that I could have the avocado toast if they took the egg out and they said that they could mash the avocado without mayo in it for me, which sounded doable. We get there and the server tells us it’s too late to make the avocado toast, and the menu implies that the fried items are fried in vegetable oil, but the fried green beans literally contained meat. They ended up making the avocado toast for me since I said they that told me they would be able to on the phone, but when it got to me, they didn’t even bother to mash up the avocados like they promised they would. Not to mention that the avocado on the toast looked, felt, and tasted like it had been left out for a few hours. My friend ordered the a burger with the only patty that was vegan, and they took out the cheese but left milk sauce on it. My other friend was supposed to get avocado on her burger and they didn’t even remember it. This uneducated staff does not pay attention in the kitchen and I would stay far away from this place if you have any sorts of dietary restrictions, allergies or just care about getting what you...
Read moreFirst of all location has hosted a number of eating establishments over the years, its adjacent to the Metrolink. Having lived in Orange for over 30 years we have encountered most of the eateries that have occupied this spot.We recieved a few coupons thru the mail that "actually" were offering a good discount, by one get free, dont have buy 2 drinks (that is the new norm on discounts) which will end up costing from $3.00 to $4.00 extra on your bill so your free meal, or your discounted meal at %50 is really not a good choice. My wife and I ordered the burger combo, mine came with a blue cheese wedge, and a Polynesian burger with fries, the lettuce on the wedge was a bright yellow, I cut it out, called the waitress over, she was very polite, she told the manager, she came over to our table, I asked her if "she would eat this", she said absolutley not, and then compoed our entire meal. As a result, we have since been back for breakfast and intend on eating there again on Friday night, bravo to the manager, that is how to handle a situation that arose, that lettuce should have been discarded and the kitchen is to blame. None the less, the food was good, the portions were satisfactory and the service...
