Woody's Diner — Restaurant in Orange

This place is ridiculously bad. I have a walked out twice without ordering because no one bothers to give service. First time I left was during a breakfast rush in 2022. I thought they were busy and left it at that. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came to ask me if I wanted anything to drink and I was too hungry to keep waiting, meanwhile workers passed by constantly but ignored my table of 2.

Recently, in March 2024 I gave another chance to this place and right off the bat I was given a moldy menu, are you kidding me? Images below. If the standards for a menu that is handed to every customer that walks in is this, imagine how bad the back looks. I was seated near the waitress drink station and while I was looking over my menu I overheard waitresses talking about “throw all that out because it all went bad” that was a second strike. First the mold menu and then overhearing something was all bad , very unappealing. Again, ten minutes pass and the workers walked past me and my party of two multiple times and never came up to us to take our order. I don’t get it. Why do the servers not give service?

This place is incredibly SLOW. If you are HUNGRY, DO NOT go here. Your food will take a very long time to reach you. Seems like a place to sit down and chit chat with your friends for hours while you get your food.

Bad experience I would give them a negative star if I could. We were greater at seated in a great seat so sorry she then moved us to a new booth where my seat had stuff on it and I brushed it away. My husband noticed she never whipped that seat either. We ordered out breakfast which seemed to take her awhile to even take our drink order. We ordered and noticed after 15 minutes she checked on people who had food but not us. Our food finally arrived. My husband asked to see the manager and I was confused why. When the manager arrived he proceeded to tell her about the greasy seat and when she moved us to a new booth it too had greasy seats that I didn't notice until then. We could deal with that, however when he showed her his for which had been wrapped so you would think it was clean was not. The manager told us that she would talk to the staff and they always whipped the silverware before wrapping them. At that point we decided that was not the place for us so we left.

Health is huge to us and it made us wonder were they cook is it clean? I felt like they didn't really care and wanted to get us out.

This is the same location that has had at least 4 failed restaurants there in the past few years.

I am so deeply disturbed to have to write this review. My elderly parents came here excited to dine in on behalf of my mother’s birthday. I called ahead to let server Genesis know that it is my mother’s birthday, she was the ONLY accommodating staff during their whole experience here. After placing the order, my parents were swiftly packed up and sent out of the restaurant with their order to go, even though their intention was to dine in. I talked to Bryan on the phone who was extremely rude and suggested that I wanted free food when I told him I just wanted some type of compensation for such an ill experience on my parents behalf. I then spoke to Francisco, who kept repeating to me “What’s the problem” insinuating they got their food and should therefore be happy??? I don’t know. Nevertheless, they arrived home disappointed and with a COLD To-go order after spending more than $50 at this place for such a cold and shady experience, I will continue to review elsewhere and make sure everybody in my area knows this diner is no good. I live on Palmyra right around the corner and never had the problem when I came to dine with friends before. How disappointing to treat my ELDERLY parents...
