Lemme tell you about this place-- and, full disclosure, I used to work there-- it's great. Maybe sometimes the pizzas come late, maybe sometimes you get a wrong order. But, like I said, I worked there, and they really do care about your order, they care about your satisfaction, and they care about getting it right. The manager has no problem issuing credit for mismade pizzas, or making something fresh and sending it back out. Someone's always keeping an eye on the food prep area to make sure the ingredients are fresh and the pizzas are being made correctly.
The inside of that restaurant is SPOTLESS, and I know because I had to clean it. In my entire time there, I never saw any kind of mold, grime, pests, not even a little line of ants in the lobby. The issue here is that Wheeling serves a HUGE area (all of the East Side!) and because the job is high pressure and they only want the best people, sometimes there's not enough staff on hand.
But every day that I was in that place I saw people working as hard as they could, as fast as they could, to get orders out on time. These days I order from them every couple of months, because the pizzas are good and affordable, and because I know they care about their customers.
You guys have seen my other posts. You know that if someone doesn't treat me right, I burn them to the ground in the reviews. These guys just want you to have some pizza.
(no, I'm not trying to get my job back. I don't ever wanna fall down someone's front steps...
Read moreI placed an order about 4:15 (today, july 1st). When I arrived, there was only one man working who i later discovered was a delivery driver. I told him I had just placed and online order and I would pay after it was done because it seemed he had a lot going on. Thats when I realized he was a delivery driver and had to take the the pizza that just got out to the customer. At that point I thought there was literally noone else in the store. At this point its 4:30, my pizza has not been started and there's noone answering ohones/making pizzas/ checking people out. Eventually a young lady comes out of the bathroom ( mind you , she was in there before I got there, and then 15 min after I had been there is when she got out, I ain't gunna comment on anyone's bathroom habits necessarily but you get my point) she walks, slowly, to help yhe person at the counter. When thats done. She asks me what the name on my orderwas, i told her, and then she continues to set up her phone, and speaker and then seems more interested in picking a song instead of helping the customer( me). Ive worked in the service industry long enoigh to know when and when not to be upset about customer service by particular individuals and unfortunately this just...
Read moreJust ordered a pizza from this location. It was marked as delivered, and the driver left a voicemail saying he delivered it. Since they are doing contact free delivery, I have "please leave at the door" in my delivery instructions. The driver either left my order at the wrong apartment or didn't deliver it at all. When I called to ask what had happened, I was put on a very long hold and was told that the driver said he delivered it and due to my delivery instructions I could wait until Tuesday and talk to the GM. They did eventually end up remaking and resending my order, which I am still currently waiting on, but I am extremely disappointed. I know that this has been a trying situation for all of us but when contact free is the only option for delivery, the drivers need to at least check by calling or knocking at the door to make sure they're at the right place. Very upset with the response when I called as well.
Edit: Driver went to the wrong apartment again, but I did eventually get my pizza. It is, however, made incorrectly.
Edit: Just received a call from the GM (thank you again!). Very well handled, and appreciate your understanding! I will update again after I try ordering another...
