Today was a rough day. After work my mom and I went out to lunch at American table in Oregon. During lunch Landon started to cry because he was hungry so I went to the bathroom to breastfeed him. When going into the bathroom I saw a wet floor sign between the men and women's bathroom in the little hallway. I walked into the bathroom and instantly slipped and fell on the floor. I wrapped my arm around the back of Landon's neck to brace him for impact. He instantly started to cry and his hair was wet so I couldn't tell if he had bounced his head on the floor or not. I stood up and slipped my way into the stall. After he fed for a few minutes he started to fall asleep and I couldn't tell if he had a concussion. The floor was completely covered in soap, not water and so I slipped my way back out into the dining room. I told my mom what happened and she told me I should tell the waitress so no one else Falls. I told the waitress what happened and that the floor was covered in soap not just water and she went to get the owner. The whole time I was examining Landon's head and trying to see if he had a bump or not. The owner came out and told me I should have noticed the wet floor sign and accidents happen he never once asked me if Landon was ok. He also said "did you really want to go across the Street?" Meaning st. Charles Hospital. at this point I just told him I wanted my bill and we were leaving right now. So the owner stands there as I grab my gift card and throw it on the bill and then he takes the bill and crumpled it up. At this point I didn't care about the bill so we went over to st. Charles and had him checked out. He's okay I am sore but I'm an adult so I'll be fine. But the owner couldn't have cared less that I fell with my three month old. I went back to tip our waitress because this had nothing to do with her and mentioned reading about a girl who got fired there over her appearance it's funny everyone knew exactly who I was talking about and didn't say a word I questioned her story before but I don't anymore. For being family owned what a piss poor owner at best. Just so everyone knows american table has now blocked me from tagging them on facebook. I heard a...
Read morewell i never thought id be writing a review like this for American Table but after last week i need to. we go there alot and really enjoy it, staff has always been great, Kelly is amazing. however on the first issue a double burger was ordered medium rare and it came out well done. it was sent back and #2 came out RAW, like it was heated on each side then served. we were running out of time and asked thst ut just be taken off bill since we couldnt eat it. our server asked and was told it couldnt be taken off bill because he wasted 1 order already. our amazing server tried to make it right by paying for it but i wouldnt allow that and gave her her money.
ok well everyone has bad day so i figured id let thst slide considering all good visits that have been had. however the very next day we happen to go for lunch. again ordered double burger medium rare, this time 1 patty was good the other was very raw. we sent it back and he said he wasnt replacing it cause we do it all the time (even though he never came out to talk or look, or knew who it was).
so 2 days of paying for food that could not be eaten, as well as being disrespected could not just let it go. it is unfortunate , we love the service, food and staff. the servers should never be held accountable for actiona not in their control, nevef have to pass along bad information then handle upset customerss. that us managements responsibility.
Thank you to the staff, Kelly has ALWAYS taken card if us keep working hard. we...
Read moreDate of visit: 1/21/2022. It was terrible. The food was good but the service was very, very bad. We had three people in our group. People came in after us and got their order placed before us. When they brought our order, it was wrong and they tried telling us that this is what we ordered, however, they did correct it. I asked for some napkins, they said "sure" as they walked away but they never brought them. I went to the restroom to get paper towels to use. They weren't attentive to service at all. We advised the supervisor, who told us who the owner was and he was working the register. He just said, "That's they way it is now a days. It's hard to get employees." We told him how one waitress was on her cell phone during most of the time we were there and he stated, "She has some personal issues she's dealing with". He still charged full price. We won't ever step foot into that...
