Ernie's Sports Deli — Restaurant in Orem

Ernie's ruined my son's birthday party:

Allow me to explain,

My son absoulely loves the cake from Ernies, and requested it for his birthday cake, we agreed and ordered a cake TWO WEEKS in advance.

Fast forward to the day the party, we go into the shop to pick up the cake we ordered, only to be told that the cake is at the location @ sleepy ridge. We drive there only to be told that a 1/4 sheet of cake was never made, because no order was placed for it.

So, we were forced to stop by the local grocery store to see if a 1/4 sheet cake was available in a flavor that my son wouldn't hate, and finally after checking four separate shops, we managed to find a cake. However, my son had been looking forward to having the cake from Ernies just like he had at his cousin's B-day party, and had told all of his friends how amazing it was, only to be completely and utterly let down when he finds out that the cake we had was not from Ernies.

I attempted to reach out to a manager to give feedback regarding this, and see what could be done to make it right. But nobody is returning my calls, and every time I call the store, they claim no manager is available.

I highly doubt I will ever shop here again, and If you plan on ordering a cake from them, I highly recommend you find someone else, as they're...

Ernies has some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I don't know what they do there that makes them so good but let me tell you they are incredible. They are best known for the champ, which is very delicious and hearty. You might feel like you'll have a heart attack later but it will be well worth it. I've also tried the Grilled Chicken and Grilled Steak sandwiches, which are also super super good. Little secret: you can order it half chicken half steak and you get the best of both worlds. Ernie himself told me that. They gave me a shirt once because I was repping their sandwiches so hard at a food truck roundup. If you are debating about going here, stop, and go. You won't regret it.

To everyone complaining about wait time, maybe you just had an unlucky day. I have eaten here more times than I can count and have never had to wait longer than what you would dub as "normal". If you go in the morning, you can expect a decent wait because everyone wants...

My brother introduced me to Ernie's about 13 years ago and I've been coming ever since.

Ernie's is a sandwich place, and they know it. Prime example of how well it works when you stick to and master that one thing. Super friendly staff, some of them know me now and it's always nice to go in. Gives a real home-town diner kind of feel where you step in and just feel comfortable.

My favorite thing is that they let you call in your order and then pay at pickup. No cards over the phone. Without fail they've had it ready for me 15 minutes after I call every time making them super reliable for grabbing lunch during work.

Finally the most important part, the food. I am a breakfast nut. So it's the breakfast sandwiches all the way for me. They know how to load up a sandwich with delicious hot eggs, bacon and sausage. Or get a middle weight (sausage, eggs and cheese) and add some pastrami to it. Always delicious!
