This place has potential, but a poor first impression left me reluctant to go back. In short: Bad Guinness pour (seriously???), tough parking, and sketchy credit card surcharge - docking two points. Extra details: I purposely stopped by on a Tuesday to see what the place was like without being "rushed" or worried about being "overlooked". Parking entrance from Robinson street seemed more like a service entrance for employees and only one car in or out. (Minus half a star) Nice cozy place once inside, however. Ordered a Guinness, and after pouring, the girl says "sorry for bad pour, tap is bad" (or something along those lines.) Would've expected more from a place that got voted best Guinness in Orlando! (Minus half a star.) Tried out the Cottage Pie and ordered a Basket of Chips to go. Cottage Pie was delicious, but felt like one of those "frozen" meals type things. Probably wrong. Better than actual frozen meals, however. shrugs It's bar food. Basket of Chips to go - not bad...... as long as you ate it immediately. Bush & Bull doesn't have a real fryer - just an air fryer, so it's not truly fried per say. BUT! The portion size (what I got at least) was WELL worth the $5, so I'd give that another try any day. Came with vinegar I believe, on the side. Not bad. Also stopped by the bathroom before leaving. Only one. Definitely a line if this place is packed. Finally - the bill came. I paid with a credit card and although I was inebriated, I still can do math. What bothered me is that........ even after taxes, my CC charge was off by a dollar or two. The girl that did not seem like she was completely new nor unable to do math (pretty sure I saw a calculator lying around), so I can only assume the charge was a CC fee. Sketchy. (Minus 1 star) Like I said initially - place has potential, but minor issues here and there makes it an "okay" place. Might stop by again to see what it's like when it's packed, but I'm not...
Read moreVisited from Georgia. An older white guy with glasses and a beard refused service to me confidently and falsely claiming my ID was fake. I asked him how is it fake, he couldn't give me a straight answer. I told him I could literally show him a photo of my passport and he told me to show it to him and when I did he still refused to accept it.
I'm unsure if it was a lack of experience, ignorance, or prejudice (adding this because I was dressed relatively feminine as a man). However, if prejudice is not the case and you are unfamiliar with how to verify Georgia IDs just admit that and have someone else verify it please instead of being so rude and wrong just to protect your ego.
Afterwards we went to multiple bars in the area and every other bartender was able to validate my ID with no issues.
Unfortunately my friends who are regulars here will no longer be returning because of their...
Read morecame here with friends while visiting from another state. bartender said my boyfriends ID was fake? literally all of us were well over the age of 21 and he had no evidence of this. he claimed it was for a lack of holographic strip? made no sense. my boyfriend pulled out a pic of his passport and everything. i think when he realized he was wrong he just doubled down. really cannot chalk it up to anything other than our friend group being visibly queer or the only people of color in the bar. bartender was an older white guy with glasses and a beard. so rude and would not recommend this...
