I recently had the pleasure of dining at Café Trastevere Italian Restaurant in Orlando, Florida, and I must say that it was a delightful experience overall. From the delicious food to the cozy ambiance, this place truly exceeded my expectations.
Let's start with the food. The menu offered a wide range of authentic Italian dishes, and each one I tried was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation was impeccable. Whether you're a fan of pasta, salad, or seafood, Café Trastevere has something to satisfy your cravings.
One thing that really impressed me was the affordability of the food. Considering the quality and taste, the prices were more than reasonable. I felt that the portions were generous, and the value for money was definitely there.
The restaurant itself has a quaint and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends and family. It's not a large establishment, but that only adds to its charm. The soft lighting, warm colors, and tasteful decor create a comfortable and inviting setting.
The staff at Café Trastevere were outstanding. The customer service was top-notch from the moment I walked in. The waitstaff was attentive, and friendly.
Now, I do have a small concern that I feel needs to be addressed. If you plan to use a Groupon at Café Trastevere, it's important to note that they have a limitation. Only five Groupons are honored per day, and reservations need to be made by phone. Unfortunately, this information was not communicated upfront during the transaction. I discovered this after I had already made the purchase. While this was a minor inconvenience, it would have been helpful to know about this policy before making my payment.
Despite this minor setback, I highly recommend Café Trastevere Italian Restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. The excellent food, cozy environment, and outstanding service make it a standout choice. Just make sure to check their Groupon policy beforehand to avoid any surprises. I will definitely be returning to savor more of their delectable Italian cuisine...
Read moreWe tried this restaurant for a date night earlier in the Spring. Its a cute little quaint restaurant in Orlando. Nice setup outside and great for a few quick photos. Very authentic Italian looking on the inside. Beautiful paintings on the walls. Inside and outside dining options. We dined inside because it was warm and almost evening, and did not want to become a meal ourselves for the mosquitoes. Inside was beautiful; ambience was very relaxing, lighting a little dim, calm music in the background. Perfect spot for a date night. Customer service was good. The food options were not grand but it was a nice selection. We both had alfredo pasta; I had a chicken pasta with mushrooms and added shrimp, and my husband had an alfredo with shrimp. Food took a little longer than I wouldve hoped but not too bad. The bread was ok. For my husband's food it tasted average, but my food had something that was clashing; when I mentioned it to my sister afterwards, she mentioned that perhaps it was the type of cheese that they used, maybe aged, or the mushrooms, which I didnt think about in the moment. I usually love an array of cheeses (and a few types of mushrooms), and it was my first time having a pasta with a seasoning or ingredients that clashed. The shrimp was also crusted, and didnt pair well with the dish, as if it was an obvious after thought. The parmesan cheese was also the powdered kind (that I used to use back in the day), and not freshly grated, which I expected for an Italian restaurant, and only use freshly grated cheese in my pastas at home as well.
The food was a lot and we were stuffed, prices were fairly reasonable, so perhaps another dish may have been a better choice. Im not sure what they have that is a popular choice, but if I were to go again, I would definitely ask the waiter/waitress their opinion (which I often do, and dont know why I didnt do so this time). All in all, it is worth at least trying for a nice experience, but perhaps try a meal that most...
Read moreI can't believe I forgot to leave a review. My husband and I went in November 2016. We always go out to eat at least twice a month so we decided to go here based on their menu and location. When we arrived, we weren't necessarily greeted and were basically told we could pick our seating (inside or outside) so since everyone was outside, we figured we'd be better off inside. Wrong. We barely had any service and I don't recall the waiter or owner smiling at either of us once. When asked what kinds of alcohols they had, the server seemed irritated and gave us a very poor selection. When I asked if he had about three different drinks, he said "No". They didn't have much of anything.. even juices and sodas.. I asked for sweet tea once he finally said they have tea but he said "Not sweet, just tea" so we ordered water since they barely had anything at all to choose from. Then we ordered two of the most expensive items on the menu and it was taking a while for it to come out. One woman came in about 35 minutes after us and sat right behind us. Ironically, she ordered the lobster ravioli, just as I ordered. The server brought out my husband's food and then dropped MY lobster ravioli off with the woman BEHIND US.... Yeah.. imagine that.. not only is it completely ignorant to drop a plate down for one person in a party but not the other person.. but my food WAS done.. it was just placed BEHIND me so the woman started munching away and guess who had to wait another 20 minutes while they prepared her dinner? Yeah, and did they apologize? Discount anything? Nope. Never going back and I don't recommend it. The food was average if not below that, their drink selection was extremely poor, and their service was the...
