My honest opinion about this place. I was hype to go for a few weeks now since kept popping up in my IG. I went last night first impression yeah the music was loud but so what is like any other Dominican restaurant but they need to understand it’s not a club but I guess that’s just the way they like to run their business.
The prices: omg if you really want to over pay for bread and a little bit of meat inside a bun yes that’s your place definitely not mine $15 smh. Flavor was a little off and definitely salty as lol I’m not going to say that.
Ok so I thought it was just the chop cheese that was a little salty but then the 3 golpes pizza everything on it was fine except the egg that was really salty and that make everyone in one side of the pizza salty as well, and the best part y’all really $18 for a kid side meal lol. They probably use one plátano and two slices of each cheese and salami.
Ok so it gets better the country club soda that you buy in NYC or any Dominican place around Orlando $4.50 maybe I should have brought my own drink.
The service was great I think it will take awhile for me to go back. I believe the prices will drive people to go somewhere else because come on guys this is not even the Cheesecake Factory this is just plantains and bread with a little meat in between and the worst thing you can eat salami that’s all you’re serving. If you think because you’re in downtown people will pay those prices nope.
Update: Went back in and guess what still not impressed smh, sorry but most of the people that go there are friends of theirs and they’re looking just for a late night place to hang out after a club.
Went again not by choice and the food is still trash. I can’t believe people over pay that much for food and the sandwich this time had less meat. They also have a guys behind the grill with a bear and no covering making a aquí sandwiches. This restaurant just stays alive because of young people that are drunk or high and don’t have nothing better to eat around.
Side note the only trash can was over filled and nasty, long with the bathroom.
Just to reply to your comment if you can’t handle the heat get the fffff out the kitchen why have a restaurant and you don’t know how to take criticism. Nice reply I will go to Cheesecake Factory where soda won’t even cost me...
Read morePros. Food: we had the chopped cheese empanada to start just from that we knew the food was going to be top tier. The dough was good the filling was soooo tasty and it was nicely packed. Then we had the chimi which was so delicious and pretty close to the ones back home. The bread was perfect (pan de agua) the onions, shredded cabbage and that sauce very well done. These guys gave the chimi an elevated taste but still maintained its essence. Overall the food was super tasty, well made and super fresh. Ambiance: the spot was clean and organized, great music! It’s a perfect place to come before you go out or after. They have like a little backyard area don’t know if they just utilize that for their employees but it looked like a vive don’t know if they open it up later for customers. Service: the service was friendly and warm, fast and organized. Someone in the reviews said that they waited a bit for their food but I didn’t have that experience maybe because of the time I came. Hours: I am so happy about their overnight hours orlando needed this!
Cons I wished the meat would have been just a bit more seasoned. The sauce and the onions were definitely giving most of the flavor and I wanted all components of the sandwich to have that same umff. My husband thought it was great so it might be just a thing of personal taste.
Overall we had an amazing experience, the food was sooo good, and I’m very proud that we now have a Dominican chimi spot that I can actually take my friends...
