I have been going to this restaurant for many years and have always been pleased. I entered the restaurant today and noticed no familiar faces among the staff. Waited a while to be acknowledged at the door and a few moments longer to be seated. Once seated I watched in amazement as several staff members passed by time and again without stopping at our table. It was almost like the behavior of The Borg from Star Trek; they were aware of our presence but did not engage us as we were not a threat to disrupting their processes. I’m somewhat surprised by this since I have had so many good experiences in the past. When finally approached we were presented with a menu. The menu was different than in past visits. Now I am certain that something is afoot. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees at once for fear The Borg may not return often. The highlight of the meal was the peanut sauce on the salad. When my spring roll arrived I attempted to keep the uneaten sauce on my salad plate to accompany my much anticipated spring roll. I was told I could have a fresh side of delicious peanut sauce, but this was only a dream as the sauce was never seen again. The entrées arrived and I could not eat more than three bites. My dining companion concurred that the food was not fit to eat. Our server asked about our meal and we informed her that it had missed the mark. We were offered another choice by demurred as we had already exhausted our allotted time for lunch. We were presented a check for the full amount and an encouragement to come back and try something different the next time. I would prefer to eat an expired MRE from and army...
Read moreMy boss wanted Thai food because that's what he loves. He wanted something light since he has a long day ahead of him. I came here for the Garlic/Pepper Chicken and an order of Chicken/Shrimp Fried rice for me.
I have read a lot of the reviews one thing for sure is this place used to be one of the greatest restaurants here in Downtown Orlando. Unfortunately, the owners have ran all their faithful customers out the door. The restaurant does need a whole new design and the music they are playing should be turned down a bit so you can have a private conversation with your table.
My server David was extremely nice and told me what was good to eat here because he has been working with the company for over 7 years.
Long story short, yes this place needs to be on Restaurant Impossible but the food was spot on delicious. Take out food is the way to go! BTW I love shrimp tails. Didn't bother me that they left it in my rice. Gives my rice a double dose of flavor. Thank...
Read moreNapasorn is a delightful Thai restaurant in the heart of downtown Orlando. I ordered the Tom Ka Hai soup. It was creamy & lemony. Absolute deliciousness! I also had the Four In One appetizer with two Satay Chicken skewers, four veggie spring rolls, & two chicken gyoza with all the sauces & fixings. It was amazing! I had a small house salad with ginger dressing. The ginger dressing did not taste like the ginger dressing I'm used to, so this was a little bit of a disappointment. The lettuce & veggies were fresh. I had the jasmine tea which was served in a lovely little porcelain teapot! And finally for writing this review I was given a free fried ice cream which was truly different from any desert I've had. It was served like an ice cream sundae with whipped cream, fudge & a cherry on top! Exquisite! I will definitely return with friends. My server was very sweet and helpful!...
