Denied Restroom Access at ProperâShameful Treatment of Paying Customers
Our group of 13 paid customers purchased drinks at Proper, only to be denied access to the restrooms because Advent Health had roped off a so-called âVIPâ areaâwhich included the only restrooms in the venueâduring Immerse Orlando. This âVIPâ section, guarded by two Advent Health representatives, was completely empty, yet they acted as gatekeepers, refusing restroom access to actual customers.
When we asked the bartender (who served us), she consulted the âmanagerââwho was also DJing, because thatâs apparently how things run hereâand he made it crystal clear: If youâre not part of VIP, youâre not using the restroom. Period.
So, a word of warning to anyone considering a visit to Downtown Orlando: At Proper, your money is good enough for their drinks, but not good enough for basic human decency. If a corporate sponsor throws some cash at them, theyâll happily shut off half their (empty) bar and deny paying guests the right to use the facilities.
Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an afterthought in favor of deep-pocketed...
Read moreWent here for a date night with my husband. I loved how they made you feel like VIP as soon as you approached the hostess. We made a reservation beforehand which I would highly recommend. This allowed us to get great seating in the lounge area. Even though we were seated across from another couple, it still felt intimate. The atmosphere definitely feels like the late 80s early 90s wall street cocaine era type vibe minus the cocaine of course. We had a waitress that personally took our drink order and served us throughout the night. She even provided water which was great. The drinks are definitely well made but are definitely pricey. Will run you about $15 and up for 1 drink. The only set back for me was that they have the doors open to the outside which was making the A/C sweat and drip on top of us. We told the hostess but there was no other spot open for us to move too. Luckily my husband is a gentleman and switched seats with me but for this reason I...
Read moreI went to Proper on Saturday night. I reserved 2 tables (our party had bottle service). Though the music , environment/atmosphere was amazing, the bottle service was not! If you go to Proper and get bottle service, be prepared to open your own bottles in the dark (very hard to see). They donât open the bottles for you. Both tables were expected to share the mixers which was ridiculous and we would run out of ice and or mixers and they were not replenished without having to ask. We paid far too much money for bottle service to get that kind of service or lack there of. The bottle service was just not on point at all. Also, several people kept sitting in our reserved section and we were constantly having to approach those individuals to tell them it was a reserved section. Usually, the establishment is watching and they take care of that for you. Perhaps the people providing bottle service should go to Las Vegas to see how it is...
