Debonair Supper Club — Restaurant in Orlando

DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY! I’m going to explain my experience from beginning to end, so know one else falls victim to this rip off and maybe the owner will see this and clean house so this place doesn’t die altogether. I saw this place being promoted by someone I follow on instagram long before it opened and saved it as a place I would like to visit once opened. My partner was turning 40 and I wanted a nice place to take him and saw that debonair had live rnb on his birthdate on a Tuesday. I called to book a reservation letting the lady I spoke with no that it was for a 40th birthday celebration for my partner & when I asked what they do she said “you don’t want to be surprised, we specialize in birthday celebrations” and I said wonderful. Fast-forward to the day of. As soon as we walk in, I immediately pause and stand and wait as a guy standing behind a counter in a blazer is looking head down in his cell phone, refusing to look up and acknowledge that we have even entered the building as he stares at his phone I stood there watching him stare at his phone. He finally looked up with no real greeting and asked if we have a reservation I say yes, he immediately says my name and then seats us. The restaurant is designed beautifully very comfy seating very great lighting and looks very inviting at first glance. Our waiter walks up immediately and ask if we want drinks, no introduction! Did not ask if this was our first time there, didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything just straight to the drinks, no explaining of how tonight would go or how the restaurant functions. He hands us the drink menu and also provides a QR code for wine. As we review the menu, not once, but twice I try to get our waiters attention as he walked by and he did not hear me or see me waving, so finally someone else that works there I believe, saw what was happening and decided to take our drink order for us & our waiter seemed a little slighted by that, because he walked over and snatched the wine QR code he had originally gave us without a word. If he could’ve saw me trying to get his attention not once, but twice he would rethink his bad attitude. He comes over and we placed our order. We both ordered the scallops and lobster with risotto. My partner added shrimp to his meal. The drinks came and were disgusting and severely small, we ordered the honey Diablo and the caipirinha. The food was so nasty tasted like it was boiled in water and the tomato sauce was like that of a school cafeteria. There was also some slime green sauce that looked scary on the plate. Our waiter of course asked if we wanted more drinks. The live music band was amazing. The guy in blazer continued to walk around with his head staring into his phone. Once we were done eating the waiter hurried up and slid the bill on to the table and when he picked up the check he says happy birthday very quickly and scurried away. THEY DID NOTHING FOR HIS BIRTHDAY not one thing! Out of all the places I could have chosen I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. $202 for trash food and being treated like you don’t exist. If there was a lower rating then one star I would rate it as such. My wife went here for Feed me Jazz. Entertainment excellent. Now let me begin the other party of the night. I looked to my right and this gentleman had the sliders and fries. I looked to the left and the couple there had the lobster and fries. When my wife and I wanted to order we were told we had to order from the Feed me Jazz menu which we did. Appetizers, sliced watermelon with a sauce and sesame seeds. Next, tomato soup that tasted like spaghetti sauce. One spoonful and please take it away. Next is a braised beef (one bartender didn't know the menu, as he asked what temperature did I want the beef?) I explained it's braised beef. Twenty minutes later, it comes out. The menu said mashed potatoes with spinach, but somehow it came with wedge potatoes and peas. Not only incorrect but the meat is luke warm. I explained all this to the bartender who tried to explain the kitchen could make some mash potatoes and heat the main dish again. He sent it back and offered my wife and I another glass of wine. She accepted, I requested some more water. He provided me with Voss water and my wife another glass of wine. Five minutes later they provided us with a bowl of mash potatoes, but still no main course. The bartender explained to the manager he provided us with the water and wine. Meanwhile, staff enjoying drinks with the gentleman two seats over, other staff hanging out with him. The manager knows our inconvenience but never comes over to acknowledge us or the problem. Thirty to forty minutes later still no main course. Dayve Stewart and the singer are back from their intermission and still no main course. Please understand we've been there since 6pm and now it's 8pm. We informed the bartender to cancel our order and he tells us he wants the manager to speak to us before we leave. Five minutes later he comes back with another plate, and again I informed him I no longer want it. He is trying to get the manager's attention as she is now and has been at the gentleman two seats over for 10 minutes. He finally gets her attention and they step behind the curtain to discuss when she returns and ask how we were doing? I told her not good, and explained the entire situation. I explained had we been treated or gotten the same service the gentleman two seats over we wouldn't have been waiting 40 minutes for food. She said the meal and our bill is on the house tonight. She still didn't get it. We didn't get a meal. I told her you're right because I wasn't paying for anything and got my umbrella. I told her AGAIN, HAD WE BEEN TREATED LIKE THE GENTLEMAN TWO SEATS OVER maybe things would have been different. I also told her I would offer my review to others. Like I started this review, if I could have rated this less than a one star review I would. My first time was my last time. Buyer beware, if there's an event watch for the people they treat as VIP. Maybe it's you, but for this Valentine's Day event and date my wife and I were treated like third...

Update 05 /16 /25 I had Hubby Birthday here over the weekend as Promised! I have to give them that extra star that was missing, the corn bread tasted much sooo much better! Because of a new kitchen staff it's why my friends wear a little upset during my husband party. We ordered our food and It came out within minutes and they ordered their food soon after we did and they never got it. We went out and smoked came back and my party still have not received their food! They wanted to eat before starting to drink, Because after dinner we were going to the bar section. Plans change They were Upset for not getting their food And we had ate without them. The manager went above and beyond To make this right! And I'm so happy with how things ended !

Old post Where have I been to not know about this place? A romantic dining experience after midnight in orlando! The music was fantastic, It was mixed with relaxed hip hop, R & b, They even had some caribbean music That they mixed with a different vibe of music! Other music was played any Nationality will definitely enjoy the Selection! The atmosphere was gorgeous the Decor, Straight Out a magazine! I really had An amazing experience and definitely having hubby Birthday there. only reason why i'm not giving a five star was the temperature of the food. when you're paying high price for quality food in such a fancy establishment, You Want hot food to be hot! I Had the fried chicken greens With mash and a side of corn bread. I really believe someone put too much baking soda or something in the cornbread and it gave a very nasty bitter Taste I think that was just accident. However it was disgusting. If the food was hot it would had been the best fried chicken i ever had. The Rest is something I never eat.However when i'm saying I was able to cut it with a Spoon. OMG so good! Also I feel when you're drunk Is a bit on the pricey side.The first drink should have you tipsy. Had a Rum & Coke between the ice and the soda.I tasted nothing. However they were willing to pour more rum with no questions asked! The customer service is so professional so elegant, Everyone really seemed to make sure that we were comfortable. I loved it loved it loved it loved it!! Hope when we come back they look at these few things. People it is a must try! Ps please throw away...
