We have been dining in this Tomasinos location for a couple years now and had been very happy with their food and service until last night. I normally don't do reviews but after leaving the restaurant and running things over and over in my mind, I have only become more upset about the matter. I just felt unsatisfied about how our situation was handled. My husband and I and our children "2 yr old and 11 month old" ordered our favorite large pizza and some sides as usual. As we get through a little over half the pie my husband takes another bite of his slice and soon after let's out a painful ouch and slowly pulls out his mouth a metal STAPLE!!! We inspect it closely because we were so shocked, then worriedly argued how dangerous this could have been had it been in our 2 year olds slice! or the small sample I gave my 11 month old!!! Sooo dangerous for the children. So I tell my husband to call our waitress over and show her the staple he'd pulled out his mouth from our pizza. As we explain everything she apologized multiple times and asked if we'd like our pizza redone. We said no as we were pretty much almost through the pie and just unsure at that point if we wanted to finish or continue feeding the kids. She said she would talk to the manager and that they would make things right. We are calm people so we didn't make a big deal out of it and just tried to CAREFULLY pick and finish the rest of our meal. I was so dissapointed because we were celebrating a special event and then it just felt a bit awkward. Waitress brought out our bill shortly after and told my husband manager apologized and added a 20% discount to the total bill for the inconvenience. We paid the bill added tips as always and left. But I just felt the situation wasn't addressed properly and made me feel like it wasn't taken as serious because the manager didn't even bother to come to us personally and reassure us that it wouldn't happen again and that extra care would be taken from then on to make sure this didn't happen to ANYBODY else.
Update : A little over a month after this happened our family went back because we really missed our fav pizza so we decided to give it another chance. Well all I can say is that I was taken by surprise becuase we walked in and they remembered us! The manager Jayson greated us and said they had been expecting us to make things right. He explained how sorry he was about our scary experience that day and that ever since they have taken extra precaution and have completely REMOVED the use of staples!!! That was music to my ears! Thank you! They made our dine-in that day extra special and we appreciated that. We will...
Read morePlease don’t take this review negatively but as a learning experience. I order food from this location along with my employer and always happy with food & service however after the last incident, I don’t plan to return nor support the business. I ordered a chicken Alfredo pasta for lunch, was charged $17, vs $12 for lunch special price, and left a tip. When I arrived at office, I noticed my grilled chicken was crunchy...either freezer burned, or maybe frozen??! I called the store, I’m guessing i spoke with manager, who apologized & agreed to re-make my order & even offered to deliver it to my job. He specifically said, I know where you work, we deliver there often!!! Ok, here is where it gets interesting; my colleague said to me, like 40 mnts later...did you get your food from tomasinos? I was like...not understanding your question; she explained that she was at Tomasinos for lunch when their staff mentioned my name, and they said they couldn’t get a hold of me for delivery. I decided to call the store, spoke with manager & he said they delivered my food. I explained, I never got it; he was irritated & ask...what do you want, a free dinner?!! I was blown away by this response. I told the guy, Sir...you guys delivered MY order to the wrong office. He was like, we couldn’t find you. I was like you have/had my telephone number, address & suite number. Finally, I ask for a refund cause the call was making me so upset rather that accepting they messed up. I close by saying, I pay for quality & that’s why I chose this business, but this incident & the way it was handled was unprofessional, therefore I officially ended our...
Read moreI'm a native New Yorker, and I didn't think this establishment was anything to write home about. Pizza was decent. Service and prices on the other hand were ridiculous.
The very first pizza at the top of the pizza menu is the equivalent of a meat lover's pizza and they charge $40 for it. We ended up paying $35 for a large pizza half pepperoni. I don't know about you but I think those prices are crazy.
We were given plastic plates that had more scratch marks and chips than an old New York City taxi cab.
My biggest issue was the service though. When we arrived there was only one other couple seated in the restaurant. Yet when I would ask the waitress for something, she seemed to forget within minutes.
After she ran my card to pay for the check I noticed that she had ran the card for the wrong amount. When I pointed out that she had run my card for less than my bill she apologized and did a credit, then charged my card again the correct amount. Now I have to keep an eye out to make sure that I get that credit. I understand mistakes can be made, but when you are in a semi-empty restaurant these mistakes should not be happening.
At the end of the meal I asked her for a cup of soda to go and she gave me a cup of soda with a lid that did not fit. When I asked her for a lid that did fit she apologized and said these are the lids that they received by mistake. So my question is if you knew the lid was ill-fitting why did you fill my soda cup all the way to the top?
Again, the pizza was decent, I think the prices are outrageous and the service was really bad. I will not be returning...
