Emack and Bolio is BETTER than Sundae School! I have been going to the Cape since I was a little child, and due to the proximity, I was always more loyal to Sundae School. However, since I've graduated college and subsequently became a GENIUS (that's what college does to you, right??), my superior analytic skills have brought me to the conclusion that Emack and Bolio is the best ice cream parlor in the cape for a few reasons.
Way more choices. They have more frozen yogurt, more smoothies, more ice cream than other places.
Higher quality. This is just my personal opinion. It was DELICIOUS. I got oreo frozen yogurt and it was sooo good. My girlfriend practically ate the entire thing (that's a lie actually, I finished mine quickly and ate half of hers).
Incredibly nice servers. They were laughing with my friend who was trying to get a deal that wasn't on the menu. They hooked him up big time!
Silly name - which is very important these days.
In conclusion I am NOT hating on Sundae School; I will forever love that place. All I'm saying is, Emack and Bolio's sits upon the iron throne when it comes to ice cream places...
Read moreWe decided to try this place when the line for our favorite place was 40 people deep. We got there and there were two groups ahead of us and no one behind us. I asked if I could try a sample of the sugar-free butter pecan and the server said because it’s summer they don’t do samples. There was no one else in the place at that time. So I decided to try it anyway, and if you’re trying to cut out sugar, it’s not a bad substitute. My husband got the coconut almond bar and enjoyed it. Ice cream has become ridiculously expensive and the bill came to $15 and we each got one single scoop in a cup, no toppings. They only accept cash. As far as the size of the place, it was nice outside. There is only one table inside. I’ve had better ice cream, even though the tagline for this place is for the ice cream connoisseur, which I am. I would not go back, mostly due to the rudeness...
Read moreWent to Ice cream cafe but the line was out the door. Ok, let's try Emacks around the corner. The wife was craving a hot fudge Sunday all week. We pull in and there was 4 patrons! Great... a nice young lady asked what my wife wanted. She placed her order for a 2 scoop Sunday. We went to the register and were shocked at the $8.13 price for this little Sunday. We drove off to see the sunset and I asked her how is it. She said ok, I immediately knew it was horrible. She later confessed how poor it was after our sunset trip. Nice job Emack, it's no wonder everyone is around the corner at the Ice Cream Cafe. I'll wait on line next time so my wife can at least enjoy her Sunday and I don't feel ripped off. Typical Cape Cod tourist trap. The worst part is, I live here. We...
