We ordered take out and drove 10 minutes down the road to the drive thru theater to enjoy. I was obviously expecting everything to be a little soggy since it’s fried food (we got the fish n chips) but soggy fries were the least of my worries. The fish batter was so thick it didn’t cook all the way through, it looked like raw pancake dough. I scraped off all the batter and just ate the fish, which was pretty good. I understand having a bad batch but both of the fish n chips we ordered were the same consistency and nearly inedible. My partner got the crab sandwich and had to unfortunately throw it away. And she HATES wasting food. She was crunching on shell bits every bite, it would have been better if the crab tasted decent as it was impossible to get through with all the factors. I hope they were just having an off night, we saw all the great reviews and were so excited to try because I love fish n chips, but man was that the worst fish n chips I’ve had. Spent almost $50 just to have to throw most of it in the trash. Very...
Read moreSir Cricket’s is a seafood lover’s dream come true!! Everything we have ever gotten here over the years has been delicious, fresh and hot! The place is always clean, has a help yourself station for napkins, utensils, cocktail, tartar sauce and spicy Aioli, lemon slices, mayo and ice water. Orders taken, number given and food comes out quickly, either takeout or dine in with 5 table seatings inside and a couple outside. The fried oysters were some of the BEST I had on the Cape and the whole belly clams were outstanding too!! Good Clam chowder was not too thick, just the right consistency with plenty of clams, not just potatoes with a few clams and good flavor too! Also noted that their prices have not gone up since last year, as many places have! Thank you Sir Crickets for your continued delicious...
Read moreSaw this restaurant while in Orleans. We went across the street to the windmill and wanted to try this place out. My wife and I already had tried the Chatham Fish & Chips and Frosty's Fish & Chips in Dennis. My wife ordered the fish & chips ($13), my kids ordered chicken fingers with fries and I ordered the JR Fisherman's Plate ($21). I really liked my plate, it had big portions of shrimps, scallops, clams, and a big piece of fish. My wife really liked the tartar sauce and her plate. However, we both still preferred the Chatham Fish & Chips because of how the breaded the fish and also the tartar sauce. I do recommend this spot, its easy to find. It can get packed though and dine-in space is limited. They do have water and self serve...
