YOUR COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW!

*FUNNY...we had a $100 gift certificate but had forgotten it back home in Palm Coast.

So Napa PROS =

*we love getting dressed up nice for a night out...

*we made reservations and we were seated quickly...place was packed...4 folks waiting left frustrated.

vino selection by the oz is a great idea & very good vino & nice glasses with classy So Napa names etched on to glass...

*lovely interior wood decor...nice lamp shades...furnishings...a classy place.

*Beef sliders very yummy & bun sooo good...priced right $13.

*Ravioli entree very deelish!

*Excellent waiter x 5...try to get him...he has facial hair about 50..perfect server ! Good service can make your meal, right?

Easy close safe parking...in a nice area.

*Spotless is good = super clean table & dishes...

Beautiful cloth napkins...who does that but a good owner.

*Bright table light to see well...a big plus for my eyes!

*Host & staff lovely nice with great smiles...

CONS =

On 2nd visit I ordered rare pork chop....they served it to David across from me and I got his medium cooked pork chop. That ruined my meal.

*some riff raff diners in their best local t shirts was so Florida lazy ...and disrespectful of other diners & establishment...

*very Noisey...but what else is new at a busy eatery?

*$32 for 5 ravioli & tiny beef portion = kinda pricey...if you're hungry.

SUMMARY =

We are truly looking forward to going back at some point ! Which we did but that's probably it...no mas.

No place is perfect.... But So Napa is a good experience...even if you only ...

Let me just start out by saying my boyfriend and I have both been in the industry since we were 16 (I'm now 30, he's 32). We've worked every position a restaurant has to offer so when we go out, we generally try to pay attention to how things are flowing as a whole. Everything was ON POINT. The hostess was stationed when we walked in and greeted us like she was happy to be there. Our server, Sarah, and the manager, Nick, accommodated our request for happy hour appetizers even though it ended already. This is not an "all the time" thing. It has to be available, don't just assume you can get it because we did. Nick checked on every table in our area multiple times and as we looked around, it was nothing but smiling faces from his friendly, professional personality. Sarah had amazing recommendations and was the more laid back professional that servers should be; "in your face" servers are off-putting to us. Chef Brandon, you have stellar food. I wish I could give you ten stars! I don't know how you do what you do, but you have a gift. At the end, Sarah brought out a card signed by the staff congratulating us on our four year anniversary and gave us a nice treat of their Sonapa seasoning to take home. Neither of us have worked at, visited, or even heard of any restaurant doing that. Definitely a unique touch that we won't forget anytime soon! We left wondering why we hadn't been there before, but knowing we will absolutely...

SoNapa Grille is a local restaurant focusing on a simple but delicious menu inspired by the Napa Valley. Backed by an extensive selection of wines from the region, you don't have to travel far at all to enjoy the food and wine from California. You would do your self a disservice in not visiting this exceptional restaurant in Ormond.

I went with some friends and we ordered various items from the menu. The Parmesan Asiago bread was stupendous with the garlic herb butter and we were fans of the Edamame Pot Stickers with the citrus aioli.

For our entrees, one of us had the Rack of Lamb special which was prepared masterfully. (Gordon Ramsay would be impressed!) I had the Baby Back Ribs with the Blueberry Chipotle BBQ sauce which featured ribs as tender as the lamb with a sauce that struck a great balance between sweet and smoky. The last of us had one of the flatbreads which was good for the value and the food that it brought. I would definitely get one of those with a glass of wine for a light meal.

The dessert was truly a step above the entrees. The bread pudding was phenomenal with a superb balance of sugar, cinnamon, soft pudding, crunchy toppings and ice cream. I would come back for this alone and my friends and I agreed. The dessert here is something to absolutely make room for.

A 5/5 Experience. I plan...

My husband and I came to SoNapa for our anniversary dinner. It was our first time in, and it will not be our last. What an amazing experience! The atmosphere was so inviting and beautiful. We got the Korean short ribs to start, and they were absolutely delicious. So flavorful and tender. For our entrées, I had the Sashimi tuna and my husband had the meatloaf and also the sherry tomato soup. My dinner was outstanding. The fish was so fresh and I savored every single bite. My husband loved his meatloaf but really loved the soup best. For dessert, we had the banana creme brulee, and it was divine. Our server was top notch! I believe her name was Julie...? She was so wonderful and took our picture for us. What a doll and a great sense of humor. If I had to say one thing, it would be that when the bill came, there was a $60 bottle of wine added to our total. We do not drink, and in fact we ordered the virgin drink they are known for. Which was quite tasty by the way. So we were curious as to how that could've happened. Our server apologized and took it right off, no big deal. Overall, we loved our time here and we can't wait to come back and try more amazing dishes!

So Napa is soo fabulous. The restaurant atmosphere and design is that of a big city restaurant feel in little ole Ormond Beach. Each dish we tried was absolutely amazing; the presentation impeccable. The wait staff ( especially Joe) are extremely professional! I highly recommend the Key Lime Pie Martini, you will fall in love. If you want a Miami restaurant experience without the drive- GO Napa. P.S. I read the negative reviews.. Not sure why, they must just be people who like to complain. 1. Personally, I rather my food take a while and not out on a table in record time. That shows they take the time to do it correctly. 2. If you have COVID concerns then stay home. 3. Yes its busy, yes its loud and boisterous but that's what great atmosphere in is about. 4. Yes its a bit expense - nothing crazy- but you get what you pay for. If you want a quick, cheap meal go to a chain restaurant. AND NO I am not related.. I have given bad reviews before when it was deserved. And this resultant does not deserve it!
