Read moreSo Brendan is absolutely fantastic incredibly attentive and even before going to the bathroom will ask everyone here if they need anything. Truly dedicated to his customer service. While many in the community avoid the "corporate" chain kava bars, this kava culture definitely knows how to maintain that balance between keeping the brand while also understanding their demographic and being invested in the community. Chris has done a fantastic job with finding that balance and really making the business thrive.
I personally love coming here and do almost everyday because of it. There is no shortage of cool people, enjoyable times, events, and great vibes no matter when you come in.
I do love that Brendan sees me pull up and immediately has my drinks ready knowing I always order the same thing when I walk in, and gets my girls order right as well. And for all his regulars he does the same. The fact he is able to remember every single regulars first order when they come in truly shows his skills and how much effort he puts in to taking care of the bar. Anytime that bell rings on the door he's greeting and making drinks before doing tasks and socializing with the patrons making them feel welcome and engaged. A truly wonderful team here that takes care of anyone who comes to KC as...
Read moreMy friends and I used to frequent Kava Culture daily, usually in groups of 7 or 8, we'd spend around $80 to $90 on drinks, getting one every half hour. One day, a friend, grieving over his grandfather's death, accidentally dropped some items while cleaning his car in the parking lot. The employees made an unnecessary fuss, despite it being their responsibility to maintain cleanliness. They claimed we were blacklisted by their boss, which we doubted, given our support for Kava Culture across multiple locations. Upon our return, they rudely refused to serve us, citing frivolous reasons like playing "weird" music which was songs from our culture and we usually ask for permission before playing the song and not tipping, despite my knowledge that my friends regularly tipped. This treatment, coupled with apparent racial bias, left us feeling unwelcome and unfairly treated. We've all worked in customer service and would never treat others as we were treated. It's disheartening to be singled out and mistreated in a place we once considered a welcoming space for our group gatherings. We feel it's important to address these issues to ensure fair treatment for all customers, regardless of race...
