Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

Haven't visited there in over a year we said we would go to Chipotle however we figured we'd give it a shot again for their 5.99 special on Mondays. It was not $5.99 it was $7.48. First it rang up as $9.98 with a $2.50 discount so it's $7.48 NOT $.5.99 and we got chicken just like in the picture so there was no upcharge on our bill it said $998-$2.50 for Moe Monday so it was 7:48 each??? After not visiting for a year that did not make us feel super good and on top of that the Asian gentleman making our meal didn't pay attention to anything that was being said to him the gentleman in front of us had to correct what he was doing twice I asked for black beans and he gave me pinto beans because he wasn't listening and then when I asked him that I hope he enjoyed himself after he got off work and did something nice he said I'm not comfortable telling you when I get off work sir which made me think what the heck is wrong with this kid so we'll probably not visit again and I would recommend if you're reading this review that you don't go either. The portions are very small and again we were told $5.99 on a giant sign but they were $7.48 EACH and you aren't paid attention to what you are requesting!! Again I wished the young man a nice day and said hope you doing something fun when you get off to which the oblivious kid replied " I'm not comfortable telling you that sir"....HUH?? I didn't ask you anything for you to tell me anything back to kid??? Try listening!! It was the middle of lunch and they were dead with sign saying we're hiring all over the place no wonder.... the food was good but incredibly small portion for the price but I would recommend you go to any other Mexican restaurant Moe's is still not good we...

The assistant manager said the GM’s name is Tawy, so I will be referring my complaint to that person. When I entered the restaurant at 8:30PM Thursday 8/15, the employees already had all of the cutting boards off the food line and were making burritos and assembling meals directly on the stainless steel materials the refrigerators are made of. I’m not the biggest expert on sanitation, but I’m pretty sure that’s entirely in direct violation of sanitation guidelines..big problem. Additionally, the employees were ANGRY. No greeting when I walked in, strange vibes and I saw one of them bark orders at a poor girl ordering, with not even an attempt at politeness. I have a feeling Tawy, the GM, is not aware of this behavior. Probably not even aware they’re shutting down the front line 30+ minutes before close and preparing foods on unsanitized countertops.

Long story short, I decided to not even order. I asked for the GM’s name and walked out. I couldn’t bring myself to give money to a business who truly doesn’t want it. This was the worst experience I’ve had trying a new restaurant in my entire life.

Every time I come here for my free burrito due to my birthday -- thanks, Moe's! Always enjoy the employees shouting out "Welcome to Moe's!" whenever a patron enters the establishment. It creates a homey, welcoming atmosphere and entices customers to order food. I always get the Homewrecker Burrito with seasoned adobo chicken, pinto beans, brown rice, pico de gallo, corn, sour cream, cheese, etc. Ever since Moe's introduced the seasoned adobo chicken, the chicken is so much more tasty and flavorful.

Also love how Moe's Southwest Grill provides free salsa (from varying spiciness levels) and chips. Most of the time you are not able to get that at other Mexican-based food chains. This is a huge plus.
