Decided to give this place a shot on a suggestion. It's a winner. Very clean and socially distanced are the tables. My server Sergio and all other waitstaffers appeared happy, very attentive and engaging. I told Sergio I was really thirsty asked for a large Ice Tea ...unsweetened and it came out in a small pitcher...perfect! Sampled the fresh salsa and homemade tortilla chips. Chips were hot and the salsa was spicy and fresh. For dinner the El Rey Steak looked tasty, it was actually a pretty good ribeye-12oz.-with 6 grilled shrimp. All drizzled with a white creamy queso style sauce. I had it cooked med. rare to my liking...it was delish! I had the steamed veggies- summer squash, zucchini, carrots & broccoli. I opted for a small side salad (which I doused in fresh salsa) and added sides of guac & fresh jalapenos. Everything came out in a very timely manner...hot and fresh! All meals and appetizers I saw being served to others appeared to be fresh and nice portions. All other guests seemed happy as well. Next time your near Ormond Beach give Don Peppers a try.

The food was very good, but the overall experience was unfortunately severely lacking. We had the California burrito and the queso fundido. We ordered the chorizo queso fundido, but we were given the chicken. The food was brought out by a runner and they were about 5-6 minutes apart, which wasn’t a huge deal but was a little annoying. The server, Ryan, seemed distant and more interested in talking to the other servers and bartenders at the bar pickup. Midway through our meal he came by for the first time to check on us at which point my burrito was half finished. I asked for Cholula which was never provided. The worst part was the health code violations I witnessed. One minor one was dirty dishes being stored on a table next to the bar, alongside bottles of bleach, which is a huge red flag. Additionally, and this one is a big one, I witnessed Ryan take a cup from another table for a refill. He poured the remaining stuff in the cup out in the soda fountain drain, and then used the same dirty cup to scoop ice directly out of the ice bin. After that I declined any further refills.

My name is Brandon me and my girlfriend came tonight 4/15/25 @9pm to get drinks at the bar. Overall I will say the restaurant food and drinks are awesome but I don’t know if I will be back and probably will look into legal matters because I have camera footage as well. The bartender “JESI” may have been having a bad night I’m not sure but was upset because she didn’t get a tip for two drinks each she made for me and my girlfriend. She told us that we were racist and that if I didn’t have enough money to tip then I shouldn’t come out to eat and to not come sit at the bar if I were to come back and she wouldn’t serve me. I’m not sure what made her say any of that to me but I do like peppers restaurant and I’m not sure if she was having a bad night and took it out on me but it’s unacceptable what she said and after that experience tonight I don’t know if I want to spend my money here anymore, nor do I don’t feel comfortable buying drinks or eating food here anymore because of that.

This is an amazing place. We came here mainly because it seemed like chips and salsa were included. Some places around the area do not have it included so this was a draw to us. We had to wait at the door for about 10 minutes because they were busy. Don't let this deter you. They had so many options that I have not seen other places before, the food was so delicious. I loved both mine and my boyfriends meal. The portion sizes were very very generous. We made it two meals with the unlimited chip refills. The salsa was fresh, spicy and good. The service was so quick we did not have to wait for chip or drink refills. The sweet tea was fantastic. We were hesitant to come here at first because the reviews were negative about the bathrooms. But the whole facility was clean and as it should be. I highly recommend.

Quick service and amazing food! There were a lot of options, all of which sounded so good I wasn't sure what to order. The Queso Fundido was a pretty cool dish, though.
