Subway — Restaurant in Oroville

DISGUSTING FOOD, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!  DON'T GO HERE!!!  I recently bought a sweet onion chicken teriyaki footlong here that tasted and smelled so fishy I almost threw up after the 3 bites I quickly wolfed down because I was starving finally hit me that chicken being straight up fishy like tuna salad means DANGER!!  My partner took a few bites and had the same gag reaction, so naturally, I thought, "I'm going to take this back to exchange for a different sandwich because no restaurant would want their customers eating something that could potentially make them sick, right?  It'll be no problem".  Boy was I wrong! I took my at least 3/4 of a foot long sandwich back immediately, with my receipt. I told the staff the issue and they just smelled their chicken still in a metal insert on the line and said it's supposed to smell that way and that they just made it last night so it was fresh, so therefore nothing was wrong with it. I told them I've gotten this same sandwich dozens of times and it never smelled or tasted like tuna fish. The guy on duty glanced in my bag and said that I had eaten most of my sandwich so there was nothing he could do other than make me a new sandwich and charge me for it because there wasn't a manager there and they couldn't reach one. I said that was unacceptable and I had NOT eaten more than 3-4 bites and would not be coming back. I've worked in restaurants for over 20 years and this is the worst customer service for bad food quality I've ever experienced. Don't go to this Subway if you want to have any reassurance that you'll get safe food that will be replaced if anything is wrong with it. I had to throw away a 15 dollar sandwich and was treated like I was lying to get free food. Shame on...

Don't support a local business with employees that are robbing there boss, the day crew 2 blonde employees to be exact have a hustle they run to make more tips. When you pay with a $20 for $18 meal and say "keep the change" they will put in a discount or a coupon or just not ring the order up and pocket the $20. They do this multiple times a day adding up to about $120 per girl sometimes more. One particular employee has stolen from the register on multiple occasions. I understand if somebody is a decent worker but when they make it there job to steal from there workplace that's dishonest. Gary the owner deserves better employees and a better manager of the store. A manager should be protecting the store from theft, not taking part in it. ( This scam isn't just being used with $20 it was just used an example, there's times the bills are larger or smaller)

Update: nearly a week has gone by with the owner of the store fully aware. Both employees received 0 consequences. Therefore if you work In a subway in or around Oroville particularly owned by Gary this is something you and you're staff can do as well. Apparently it's not viewed as theft. So therefore I'm in support of it I guess. Don't go home from subway with anything less then $75 in...

I literally contemplated for an hour about whether or not i should order in person or online because im sick. So i ordered a hotshot through doordash. First off subway does not give you the option to add nots for specific things, I wanted to add extra on the veggies and sauce to make sure it was added!! The sandwich arrived and let me TELL YOU..... it was bone dry!!! the bread was over toasted or just old not sure, there was absolutely ZERO sauce except for oil and vinegar, they totally skimped on the meat, cheese and veggies. Sick or not; I'm going in to order everywhere from now on. And for people thinking it's a lazy thing or a doordash problem #1 I was being respectful and responsible in order to not contaminate any social areas. #2 doordash or their drivers have no control what the fast food establishment does with the food before they hand it over to the driver, the driver cannot check the food due to safety/health reasons. It is a 100% the establishments fault. Subway stop skimping on everything especially THE MEAT AND CHEESE!!!! Never order online people not worth...
