Starbucks — Restaurant in Ottawa

I hate to leave negative reviews but it’s beyond time I leave some feedback on this location. I have a routine of going to this Starbucks about 3 mornings per week. After I get done at my gym across the road I place my order before I leave the parking lot, then I go through the car wash next to Starbucks, then to Starbucks to pick up my order. It’s not a morning rush time as it’s around 9 am when I place my order. Usually it says 5-8 minutes but let me tell you, estimated wait times are basically meaningless at this location. Today for instance my drink was supposed to be ready around 9:07 but I had to sit there until 9:15 waiting, which I could understand if they were busy but they were completely dead! I can’t tell you how many times I have waited 10, 15, even 20 minutes past the estimated wait times for my drink (which by the way is usually a simple cafe latte, flat white or cappuccino nothing complicated). This is not an every so often thing, it’s probably one out of 3 times, cannot stress enough the fact that this type of thing is very consistent. The real kicker is that they almost never acknowledge it by saying something like “I’m sorry for the wait.” They give off the vibe that they really don’t care if you have a bad experience here. If you are driving down 80 do yourself a favor and keep going to the Peru location if you’re heading west or Morris if you’re heading east. If you are looking for a better cofffee experience in Ottawa I would try Jeremiah Joe’s which is where I would rather go, I just liked the convenience of this being right across the road from my gym. The only reason I gave two stars instead of 1 is that there are a couple of employees that seem like they care, I believe one of their names is Lucas. I do hope they can turn things around here as you can see from the reviews their mobile order wait times are definitely an issue so they should do something to address this problem. So I use to be a huge fan of Starbucks and I was so excited a few years ago when I found out they were opening in ottawa. At first it was perfect 👌 but lately it is anything but. Every time I go there I use the App to pre order my drinks because I know they get busy. The last 6 times I was there I still had to wait between 15-45 minutes. Ive actually gotten back to work late from lunch because i waited my entire lunch hour for a drink! To be honest if it was just the wait time I'd deal with it. But after waiting for over 30 minutes to finaly get my drink and for it to be wrong EVERY TIME is just to much! Especially when the prices are anything but cheap & they charge extra for everything. When you customize your drink and wait that long just to discover they forgot to line the cup with carmel drizzle, add an extra shot, don't add the suger, don't add the whipcream or when you ask for no whipcream they still add it and so on its rather disappointing. If it only happened once in a while that's one thing (accidents happen) but every time that I get my order its wrong. Sometimes by the time I take a sip I've already left and realize they didn't add the extra shot or the suger. When I do catch it while im still in store I simply can't sit around waiting another 30-45 minutes for them to remake it. After waiting that long all you want to do is leave. So I will not be returning any time soon; I'll get my kick of caffeine from some place else (Jeremiah Joe's, Dunkin Donuts,...

I really wish I could give this place 10 stars, because the lovely girl that they have working the drive through window remembered me from last time when my car would not start and how I had a really bad day at work, she took the time to listen to what I had to say and it made me feel better, and she did not just do this with me but she did it with every customer.

This time around she see me and asked how I was doing and stated that it must be a better day with a great laught and smile, and again I told her about my day, and she looked happy to listen to me about my day. If I remember correctly her name was amber or Aubry
