Me and my friends come to watch the game here often and buy a lot of food and drinks and have been coming there for years to watch the Chiefs games. After today we will Never be back!!!! I meet the Worst general manager in the World tonight, very Rude and Not wanting to make me and my friends or the other customers happy at all!! Her name is Tiffany! She said her initials are TK. I arrived there early to watch the Chiefs game. When I arrived no one was there but me because I wanted to get a good seat for us to watch the game. I was seating right in front of a TVs were we always sit, in a booth we're we could see the Chiefs game when it came on. The manager told the staff to change 3 of the TVs right in front of me to the basketball game then the manager proceeded to come over and tell me that someone requested to turn to the basketball game. (Whatttttt!!!) I told her that I was here first and had been there before everyone else and we wanted to watch the Chiefs game. The manager said it was nothing she could do and she put 4 of the 5 tvs on the basketball game!!!! I asked her could she make the TVs 3 and 2 , three games on the Chiefs and 2 on basketball she said, No because one person asked her to turn to the basketball game! That would of been ok But the basketball game could have been on just a few channels not The majority of the TV"s! And the one TV that she left on the Chiefs game was very dark and blurry! The manager took over most of the TVs with All basketball for one person and I didn't see anyone in there that didn't have Chiefs gear on. I don't know who that one person could have been. She accommodated one person that I think she made up, that she said wanted to watch the basketball game but not a whole bar of people that wants to watch the Chiefs game and came there to watch the game!! That makes no sense at all!! At any sports bar I've ever been to they always put the main event on The majority of the TVs! Not the opposite way! She wouldn't accommodate us at All, and it was Monday night football and everyone in there had on Chiefs clothes and were there the watch the football game!! She was very Rude and short with me. She didn't care what we wanted to watch or why we were there! She didn't care about our business and keeping us as customers!! We come alot to watch the games and I never had a bad experience except for this time when I met this Terrible Manager! I have been a manager and now a owner and I know as a manager and now owner your supposed to want to keep your customers happy not make them feel uncomfortable also make them feel like their opinion doesn't matter, and they're not valued as a customer!!! She makes me never want to come back and we wouldn't be back!! It's a sports bar people come there to watch the Chiefs game!! It was Monday night football and The only football game on and the most important sports game on tonight!! I really felt like she was treating us bad on purpose and for No reason! She needs to take some customer service classes and not be a manager!! đ If your coming to watch a Chiefs game don't go there because they will turn to a whole other game for no reason and not care about what the...
Read moreThe 95th Street Johnnyâs Tavern in Overland Park KS has been my favorite late night spot to go relax over a glass wine and an appetizer, after a long day of work. Particularly as a widow adjusting to doing life alone, which can be very isolating. Walking in and receiving a warm greeting by name from the late night bar, staff, and being asked if Iâd be having my usually glass of Cabernet, made me feel joyfully welcomed! However, I'd like to express my disappointment regarding how I was treated during a recent visit.
I am concerned about the rude and unprofessional behavior directed towards me when closing out my bill. I noticed that Iâd been charged incorrectly, and requested that it be adjusted. Only to be told by the closing bartender Nick, that he had placed a full order(which I hadnât requested), and I needed to pay for it. I communicated that as a regular customer, I always order the side serving, and only had enough funds on me including a tip, to pay the corrected amount. Nick tells me, If I refuse to pay the bill, heâll be forced to call the police. Wait! What?
I made it clear that I wasnât refusing to pay the bill. And had always paid my bil and tipped well. l was asking him to correct the error of assuming a full order without first confirming it. And expressed being a bit taken aback by his Pugnacious behavior. Particularly in light of our developed rapport as a regular patron. I felt quite threatened by the way this situation was being handled, and requested the bar ownerâs contact info. Nick condescendingly provided me with his managerâs business card instead, and gave the best times to reach them.
When I asked Nick why he was choosing to escalate the situation, and would his manager feel it couldâve been handled more professionally? He begrudgingly adjusted the bill. I've always enjoyed dining here, but this experience has been quite disheartening. Nickâs treatment of me felt different from other patrons. I felt disregarded, disrespected, worthless, and targeted as a "second-class citizen" Yet I still tipped him. I did nothing to warrant this type of treatment from Nick. I hope this feedback can be used to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
Iâd like to express my deep appreciation for the other late night bar staff, who treated me with dignity and kindness. You all rock! And a special shout out to the late night kitchen staff, particularly AJ, who enhanced my dining experience(in my little corner of the room), by making the food visually appealing as well as delicious! Small acts of kindness, no matter how seemingly insignificant, can have a profound impact on others. Thank you, âNice peopleâ for being a rainbow in someone...
Read moreI went to Johnny's Tavern to have a drink and place a to go order. My friend has a service dog for a disability and the dog was with us. The dog was also wearing his service vest. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately told we would have to sit outside on the patio. it was explained to the manager that a service animal is by law allowed to go in any place his handler can go. We were then informed that the OWNER DOES NOT ALLOW SERVICE DOGS. We tried to explain that The Americans With Disabilities Act, Federal Law as well as Kansas State law state a service animal is considered just like a medical device and they were breaking the law. We were asked to.sit outside or leave. We left. We did call and speak to a woman claiming to be the person in charge and she continued to tell.me the owner does not allow service animals inside as its a private establishment. NO. They serve the public and are obligated to allow disabled individuals and their needed service animal to sit inside and can't treat them differently. IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY, YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED VERY KINDLY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU SUPPORT THE RIGHTS OF ANYONE WITH A DISABILITY. My friend was very upset and embarrassed that he was treated so unkind. He's considering bring suit against this owner so others don't go through what he did. Not acceptable. If you own a business, you should know the laws regarding disabilities. Never entering this business again. Hope others will find another...
