I recently placed an online order for pick-up at Krispy Kreme on a late Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. To begin with, the Krispy Kreme website is not very user-friendly. The night before I placed my order, the website did not display any of the promotional donuts that were available the next morning. This means that customers who wish to order late at night will not be able to get accurate ordering information.
Another disappointing aspect of my visit was the fact that the lobby was closed. One of the best things about Krispy Kreme used to be going inside and seeing the donuts being made and smelling the great aroma. Sadly, this was no longer possible, and the drive-through line was long. It took me about 10 minutes from start to finish to get my donuts.
After pulling out of the driveway, I checked my order and found that one of my donuts was wrong. It was missing the fourth promotional donut. The line was even longer at that point, so I decided not to go back and have my order corrected.
Overall, my experience at Krispy Kreme was disappointing. This particular location seems to have gone downhill. The minimal staff they have are friendly, but they are obviously too overwhelmed to get a simple order correct. I feel for them and the pressure they are under.
In conclusion, I hope that Krispy Kreme can take some steps to improve the customer experience at this location. It would be great to see the lobby open again and to have a more user-friendly website. Additionally, more staffing may be necessary to ensure that orders are correct and customers don't have to wait...
Read moreI ordered Donuts for St Patricks Day from the Store on Metcalf Ave in Overland Park, KS 1 week prior to the Holiday. When the order did not arrive on time, I looked up the stores phone number and ended up placing a second order for the Green donuts. Minutes later I would receive a confirmation for both of my orders to be arriving in an hour. Only the 2nd order with the green donuts arrived, so I tried to call the store and ended up with Customer Service, who told me he would put the order back in. Another hour later I received a call from the store that my order was cancelled as they ran out of the donuts for St Patricks Day. I told them that I placed my order 1 week prior and literally got a rude answer, that that was not their problem and that there was nothing they could do and I would need to get with Doordash if my order was missing (as I mentioned my happening). Then they hang up. After about 5 attempts to call the store I reached another team member acting with the same rudeness and when I asked for the store manager, they said I needed to call in the morning and hang up. I placed my complaint with customer service and have yet not heard back from Krispy Kreme or the store as I asked one week later. The second order of green donuts turned out to be undercooked and was half raw. Again I placed a complaint asking to be called by the store. So my first Krispy Kreme experience ended with a lost order, a rude store and a undercooked order! I still ask to be contacted by...
Read moreYou can never really go wrong with donuts (if you eat them). The location inside is nice, but the parking lot is a war zone. You're almost better off parking nearby and walking to it in order to avoid blowing out a tire due to the amount of potholes.
There are a LOT of them, so this is something that has been ongoing. Even the parking spots have holes, so you have to be careful pulling in, and getting into your car.
Aside from that, the staff were [mostly] friendly. The guy greeted me when I walked in, and was very nice and helpful. He offered samples during the wait, and kept a smile. Once I made it to the checkout, the woman (middle aged Hispanic) barely spoke (it was hard to understand her because she didn't speak English well and she seemed to get frustrated with me asking her to repeat what she said), never smiled, and dropped the receipt from basically throwing it at me instead of putting it into my hand. I remained courteous to her the entire time, but she still stayed standoffish. It's disappointing to receive great customer service, and have it ruined by someone's bad attitude.
Employees should step away or take the day off if having a bad day in a front facing customer service role. Aside from that, everything...
