2022 Update: 2-3 years went by, it was cold and snowy, and we were in the area so we decided to give it another shot. They really didn't want to be bothered with making tea so I couldn't get it. They wanted a tip even though there was no service and our ordering was at a kiosk and waited and waited and waited to find someone to attempt to order the tea. Beverage options are either soda or water from a dispenser. There was only one cup left for the water dispenser, so my companion and I shared a cup of water with our meal. Nothing was restocked for that. The tables were very dirty. While trying to get napkins out of the dispenser, there was sticky gunk all over it and the bottom of it. So I don't know when the last time the napkin dispensers were cleaned. There was something on their website about covid precautions and that they sanitize tables between guests. No they do not. Not even a wipe down. The spring rolls were so gross. I'm normally fine with faux crab, but the krab in these were so nasty. Worst spring rolls ever. The pho was still good. The veggies that come with were not the freshest. Couldn't even use the jalepenos because it looked like they were about a week past expiration. But the broth of the pho was very tasty. They're probably only in business because of the lack of competition for pho. That's probably the only reason I'd ever come back... for take out.
Original review Drove the extra mile because of the reviews. The weather was cold when we went there. The pho was good, but the service was pretty bad with our trip. It wasn't the worst I've ever had, but I was grinding my teeth a bit. More specifically, it was just the attitudes of the people working there that evening were pretty bad. We waited forever just to place an order with someone that really didn't want to be bothered with working. Their card system went down, and no apology or nothing, it was just a cluster f. But, the pho was good. Don't think I'll be back as it's not worth the drive over. But if I lived closer, I would be willing to give it another chance. Maybe it was just a bad night...

My FIRST PHO EXPERIENCE:
(Saturday afternoon) Upon walking in, it was particularly crowded yet not noisy. The air smelled amazing. You walk up to counter to see laminated menu papers and place order at register. [the cashier said they were out of Pho. After some gentle prying, we discovered it would be served once the prep cook caught up on work-- they were def swamped],
We ordered bubble tea and walked around neighboring businesses for half an hour (Asian grocer; Asian health product/ pop goody store; and an impressive bakery) Time flew by and we returned to place an order for a Large Beef Pho and a large seafood Pho.
The cashier took our order and gave us a pager. We waited long enough to have a short conversation before our order was up. Each ENORMOUS hefty bowl was accompanied by a prepped with plastic wrap plate of accompaniments on a wet lunch tray. There was a station to grab your flatware of choice and additional sauces and spices.
My seafood bowl was aromatic and savory. I added ALL of the goodies. I located roughly half a dozen mussels; a half dozen unshelled shrimps; and lots of squid rings MMMMMMMMM. My appetite is big and the broth and noodles and protein and fixings had me tapping out 2/3rds of the way through. Took the rest to go.
My daughter kept a minimalist status with her beef Pho. The cuts of meat were razor thin but ample and tender. She was not up to sharing. My 5'11 amazon with mom's appetite only got as far as I did with her Pho. Toting a take home too. She took many photos and agreed that this was a hit!
Overall, the experience in its entirety was a pleasant one. I sense a new favorite spot. I will be visiting other Pho places for comparison.
Side note: The menu had various Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese entrees, all of which I am familiar. A short handful of popular favorites. Not...
Read moreThis place used to have a very good customer service. However, things were changed when I came back here again this morning after a few months.
I and my friend were standing in front of the counter and waiting for ordering the food. Since this is the first time we came back after a few months so we didn’t know that they had the automatic register machine now. I had noticed one of their employees who was blonde hair just kept looking at us, but she didn’t come out to help us with registering or at least tell us to enter on the touch screen, although we were standing there for about 5 minutes.
Then we finally could order our food when I saw the register machine. At first I thought because they had that machine now so they stopped doing in-person register, but that’s not true. While we were sitting waiting for our food, I saw that Asian blonde hair girl (the girl I mentioned above) coming out to help other people after me to register.
I have no idea why she did that, it was not busy at all when we came in. She saw us and we saw her standing near us too, we even made eye contact with her, which means she was aware that we were there waiting and she still didn’t want to help us taking order. I felt upset about her disrespectful attitude since I saw her immediately went help out the other people coming in after me, but she didn’t help us when we came and standing there for 5 minutes. Maybe because she thought that I’m Asian too so she just didn’t want to serve us.
This will be my last time coming to cafe vie. I can’t judge all employees in this restaurant but if I could, I’d rate this specific employee a -10 stars. Our money deserves a better customer service, not the rudeness...
