My husband and I have been traveling to KY for a wedding and we are returning home to CO. However, we stayed overnight in Overland Park, KS. We found this place and decided to get coffee and croissants on 8/20/24 at 10:46 am traveling back home. We couldn't figure out how to get the croissants in the window and couldn't find tongs so I used the w ax paper on the tray. We went up to the cashier to order iced coffee for both, I had iced mocha and my husband had cold brew. The lady at the cashier was more worried how we got our croissants from the window display. I said didn't touch the food I used the wax paper provided but my husband couldn't find any tongs so grabbed the croissant that he wanted. So she asked me instead of my husband how we got our croissants. She said we'll there a re e tongs at the end, which I still couldn't find. As we waited for our coffees, another customer behind us asked how to get the pastries from the display. I said I had to figure it out and said their is supposed to be tongs but we couldn't find it, so he used the wax paper. After we received our coffee, we headed out on the road. After a mile down the road, we sipped our coffe and tasted bitter and stale. We didn't have the ti.e to go back since we are under time constraints to get home. So we went toward Dunkin Donuts to get better coffee and dumped the coffee from this place. I called to ask for the manager and said the owner doesn't come in until shift change around 3pm (CST). I called back at 3:28 pm, and Emily said the owner Mr. Ohn is not here and not sure when will be so I gave my number to call me back about a complaint. About one minute later, I received a call from the bistro and asked if this is the manager or owner and she did not give her name or state her title but will take a message. I explained that the croissants were good, evethough they didn't have a toaster oven or wouldn't heat up our croissants. I said that the coffees were bitter and stale and had to throw them out and go somewhere else and just wanted our money back from the coffees. She said without the card she or the owner wouldn't be able to refund us since we were on the road home. I have worked in the hospitality industry over 25 years in customer service standards and she could have asked for our name and address to refund us. She said the coffee is made fresh each day but you may need to look at either the equipment is not properly being cleaned or not using quality coffee. Needless to say, we will not return...
Read moreI love coming here for birthday cakes. Even though they are a bit expensive, I still buy them for all my family's birthday celebrations. I am a regular customer and I always recommend this place to my friends and family..... However, recently I've had some really bad experiences with their customer service. It has made me decide not to go back to this place anymore.
When you sell something, it's important to make your customers feel welcome. As a customer, when I have questions or need help, I expect the employees to assist me. Unfortunately, during my last few visits, I didn't get my questions answered. Instead, I received weird stares and was told to figure things out on my own. This made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated, but because i am always one to be very patient and quiet, i just ignore it.
On one occasion, I bought a cake and realized that the cashier girl had packed the wrong one. I went back to the shop and politely asked to exchange it for the one I wanted, and the cashier girl was just plain rude to me. She didn't show any understanding or willingness to help. She told me it's the one I wanted when i clearly went back and said it's not. This problem can easily be solved with an apology and switching it to the one I wanted. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, especially when I am spending my hard-earned money on a 8inch cake that cost over 40 dollars
I see that many people have also experienced bad customer service here. It seems like the owner is not taking any action to address this issue. It's disappointing to see that they are not training their staffs properly. If they continue to treat customers rudely, they will lose business from people like me who value good service.
I will not recommend this place anymore to anyone. It's a shame because the bakeries here are delicious, but the poor customer service ruins the overall experience. I believe that if the owner doesn't take action to improve their staff's behavior, they will continue to lose customers. I will take my business elsewhere, where I am treated with respect...
Read moreAs a loyal customer of Tous les Jours, I cannot speak highly enough of this French Asian bakery. From their mouth-watering pastries and cakes to their wide selection of savory and sweet treats, Tous les Jours is the go-to destination for anyone who loves baked goods.
During my recent visit, I tried half a dozen different fresh pastries from their display case, and the orange cake they had. Everything was delicious and perfectly baked. I was impressed with the reasonable prices, considering the quality and taste of the pastries.
However, it is their cakes that really stole my heart. The cake is unbelievably light and the cream is just perfect. They were some of the best I've had in the area. The sparkling candles that come with the cake, in a super smart and cute case that also contains a knife, added an extra special touch to the occasion.
One thing to note is that Tous les Jours can get busy, so it's best to visit early in the day. However, even when I went right before closing, I was surprised to find a huge selection still available.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a bakery with exceptional pastries, cakes, and treats, Tous les Jours is the perfect choice. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who wants to indulge in some of the best baked goods...
