I usually have a great experience at the Panera Bread in 11401 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66210. However, today they made the same mistake as they did a few days back and gave me the wrong item for my order. I called the location and spoke with one of their team member, who asked for the order number and told me that we could either go thru the drive-thru or stop inside to pick up the correct item. When my husband got to the store, the manager Jessica Rivera spoke to him as if he didn't know what he was talking about and she couldn't help him. Then, she went to the back, got the correct item for my order, and gave it to him. Why the manager, Jessica Rivera, couldn't go to the back and check with her team from the beginning without having to belittle a customer or why she couldn't talk with the bakery team designated to answer the phone during lunch hour to see if they had recently taken a call about an order mistake instead of taking a rude and unhelpful attitude. Finally, when I called to speak with her about what had happened, she continued with less than courteous behavior; she never even apologized for the original mistake and flat out asked in a harsh tone. "Well, what do you want me to do?" and stating that it was my fault that she was being rude. I am extraordinarily disappointed and distressed with the behavior of this manager. As a manager, she should actively follow Panera's values, including "We believe in treating people with warmth, kindness and respect, whether it's a guest in our cafe or one of our associates," and...
Read moreI am in KC for business and decided to go to Panera because it’s something easy and quick.
I ordered 1 pepperoni mozzarella sandwich and 1 Southwest Caesar s. I pull up to the window and was told $36.00. I asked for two sandwiches? He said yes.
I asked how much are the sandwiches and he said 10.59 each. I said that doesn’t equal $36? Can I see my receipt. The cashier turned to his supervisor and asked how does he print a receipt before I pay for it. His supervisor said he can’t - I’ll have to pay for it first.
So, hearing their communication, I said dude I just want two sandwiches at 10.59 each. The cashier agreed and said yeah, two mozzarella and two Buffalo chicken Caesar sandwiches.
I said no, two sandwiches total, one of each. The cashier said Oh, okay, I’ll get that fixed.
So I handed him my debit card. Approximately 5 minutes later a bag of food. He said thanks and shut the window quickly. Something’s not right I thought to myself and looked into my bag.
I had two sandwiches, a 2 bags of chips, a stale piece of bread, a Caesar salad, and a cookie?
I get it… I worked retail/food when I was a kid; however, adding items to someone’s order is out of line. I’ll never go back to this establishment again. I usually eat at Panera because I feel the quality is a bit better than most places; boy was I wrong.
My company pays for my meals so I wasn’t too upset about it (hence the review). I just want to give y’all a heads up if you choose this location.
Kicker is, I didn’t even get a...
Read moreThere were food particles on literally every table. I don’t know if the cooks just assume that everyone who walks in the door is a regular customer who knows what everything looks like. I don’t know what the issue was, but I am baffled. Me and my mother both ordered macaroni with broccoli. I noticed there was a plate of macaroni and I asked if it was for Ashley. He said no it’s for Jamie. I said OK that’s my mom and took it. She starts eating it, and realizes there’s no broccoli. So I brought it back and told them it was supposed to be macaroni with broccoli. He said no it’s normal macaroni. I said I understand that, but my mother literally told the cashier she wanted the exact same thing as me. another man walked up and started arguing with me about it. He told me I needed to throw it away. Like he thought I was just trying to get some free food. There was no apology. Only rudeness. One of the employees actually made a noise like “pow” right in front of me. They acted like they were so frustrated like their job was so hard, and that I made it worse by wanting what we OVER paid for. When I realized that they just open a bag and microwave the macaroni. Even McDonald’s has a grill. Pathetic. I looked him right in the face and said don’t worry we will never be back. I realize that people say that a lot but I really mean it. $14 for microwave macaroni. The grossest coffee I’ve ever had. And extremely poor customer service. Deserves...
