I recently placed an online order at Twisted Fresh for a couple of colleagues in the office, and the experience was sub par. To put it bluntly, they failed in fulfilling my order, leaving me with inconveniences.
Firstly, upon receiving my order, the bag was knoted closed, so I was unable to check more order. After getting back to the office, I realized that an entire order of a meal was missing. This wasn't a minor oversight; it was a blatant failure on their part to double-check and ensure the completeness of the order. Considering I ordered for multiple people in the office, this mistake was not only embarrassing but also left me scrambling to find a solution for my own lunch.
To make matters worse, attempting to resolve the issue proved to be an exercise in frustration. I tried contacting Twisted Fresh multiple times via phone, but my calls went unanswered. It's disheartening to see a complete lack of responsiveness, especially when customers are facing genuine issues with their orders. A basic courtesy of answering the phone seems too much to ask for.
Forced to take matters into my own hands, I made the inconvenient decision to drive back to Twisted Fresh for the missing portion of my meal. Upon arrival, I was met with an apathetic response from the staff. Apparently, my food had been sitting on the counter the entire time, completely forgotten by the team. The person at the counter admitted to the error, stating that they "forgot" to put it in my bag. This level of negligence is inexcusable, and it reflects poorly on Twisted Fresh's commitment to customer satisfaction.
What makes this experience even more disappointing is that this is the first time they've messed up my order. However, the severity of the mistake and the lackluster response from the staff have left me questioning whether I should trust Twisted Fresh with my business in the future. A single mistake can be forgiven, but when it leads to such inconvenience and a complete disregard for customer concerns, it raises serious doubts about the reliability and professionalism of the establishment.
In conclusion, my recent experience with Twisted Fresh has been nothing short of a letdown.    Read moreI went there this afternoon, Saturday, at about 2pm. Parking everywhere so I got to park directly in front of the restaurant. I walked in and there were about 4 other customers either eating or waiting for their food. We were instantly greeted by the 2 gentleman working. They were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be assisting me. I asked if they had a menu nutrition guide which the employee said that they didn't have one/didn't know where it would be. With the general public's focus on calories, macros, and I would assume allergies, I was surprised that they didn't have any knowledge about where it would be/ or if they had one at all .
I had been to the Twisted Fresh location on 135th street about 4 years ago and remember the food being excellent. I was excited to try it again. After I had placed my order. the customers behind me remarked they were surprised that their food came out so fast. It was so speedy they didn't even get a chance to fill up their drinks. My food came out extremely fast within 5 minutes.
I ordered the Baja Shrimp Burrito and it was okay. I ate about 1/4 of it and wasn't super impressed. It seemed like it was missing something like a sauce. I don't think the pineapple salsa and cilantro lime sauce was cutting it. For $10.50, I received the burrito without any sides.

Most pleased at the way I was treated by the cooks because of the error. They were very aware of my time and that they were impacting it negatively. Bothered by restaurants today that ask you to tip at 15% up to 25% when they don't bring your food to your table, don't make your drink, don't pickup your table when you are done. Why am I tipping them ??? Doesn't the owner of this establishment pay them a decent wage ? I want these people to make a good living, they have needs just like me. But when I see 8-10 people behind the counter and I just cleaned my own table and see nobody cleaning I am bothered. I believe I am going to stop tipping unless it is earned. I must say in closing the staff were professional did a great job with my food ( although the first order was wrong ) but seemed to lack direction. Nobody there stood out as if to lead or be the manager. I am in the labor business so I feel qualified to make the assessment. The food industry is tough but those that do the extra make long term customers. By the way if it matters today was my first visit to Twisted Fresh.
