I don’t know where to begin. I have loved Whataburger since before it came to Kansas and I was beyond excited when they finally opened up near me. Sadly my experience at this particular location has been extremely disappointing.
Buckle up because this is going to be as long as the wait to get food there is. My first bad experience was a rainy day (sounds dramatic I know), I got there with only two cars ahead of me. I pull in to order and I had to say my order FOUR times because the person a) couldn’t hear me b) needed me to go slower c) needed me to clarify my order and d) “huh? Can you say it again.” Still trying to remain calm, I pull to the window (after 10 minutes behind two other cars) and the guy tells me my total and I give him my card. More time passes and then he realizes someone put my order in wrong so I was charged for an extra drink. The next guy to “help” me acted like this was completely my problem, and mind you it’s POURING RAIN INTO MY CAR. I then try to give him my card back to refund and he said we only do cash and I said, “okay” and his response was, “do you want to give me a penny so I can give you $3.00?” I stared at him with disbelief because I had sat there patiently, getting soaked, and remaining composed. Luckily the first guy who helped me took care of it and was the only one to apologize.
Time passes because quite frankly after that I never wanted to go back to that location, however I saw this time the chick-fil-a had a longer line than I cared for so I decided whataburger had no line I’ll go there. I guess I should’ve listened to my gut because how is it that chick-fil-a had a small rush and this whataburger couldn’t even handle two cars. I wish I was being dramatic when I say I waited 30 minutes to get this sad picture of food. My shake was a mess and the chocolate was not mixed in to the shake. As you can see my bun was overcooked and the chicken (if you can call it that) was dainty. I probably would’ve looked the other way had it not taken 30 MINUTES OUT OF MY DAY!
So I write this to say PLEASE resolve these issues so people like me don’t leave frustrated, annoyed, and just deflated. If you’ve read this far, you’re probably thinking “why is this Karen so uptight and upset about just a milkshake” and “at the end of the day it’s just a chicken sandwich get over it.” Well I hate to break it to you but it’s about the total disregard to me as a paying customer.
P.S. Don’t bully my order I realize its just a dry and plain spicy chicken sandwich but to me it means it’s that good on it’s own to not...

This wasn’t worth $45, the food was cold, the 5 orders of fries, as well as lettuce on my sandwich, were limp - not crispy, in addition to the customer service are enough for me to not return to this location and I’ll be encouraging others to not waste their time.
New to the area and was excited for my family to try Whataburger - worst experience from beginning to end. Experience was inexcusable as I was the only car in line, hardly any cars in the lot, not busy at all on a Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, a young, White male attempted to take my order, but for no apparent reason, a female (possibly Hispanic and in charge of the drive-thru) took over the order and then proceeded to tell me we needed to start from the top; training in patience and active listening could be useful as she was more stressful at taking my order than the young male.
After pulling up to the window, I was asked if I’d like a drink tray, which would’ve been fine had the young male not placed the tray in a bag. One of the drinks was tipped over.
After being told to pull forward and wait, I was missing the individual cookie and small fries, but received a Spicy Chicken Sandwich with everything in it, instead of a sandwich, ONLY Monterey Cheese.
So, I went inside and explained what I was missing. This was told to CB, who proceeded to take my receipt and tell the cook that was prepping the burgers. The Hispanic woman then walks over to the two males and proceeded to say “she didn’t say only cheese” to which I replied that I stated that twice and it was on the receipt. She then says “oh that must’ve been for the person behind her” and then starts naming off the same order over and over.
She appeared very disoriented and didn’t give clear directions to her staff, which is probably the reason for so many errors.
CB provided the correct order of chicken sandwich, cheese only, and fries, but I’m glad I checked the bag because they still forgot to give me the cookie. I had to ask for that, again.
It wasn’t until I got home that I realized I didn’t get the small Diet Coke, I got a half & half tea, in addition to not getting the Whatasauce (that I was charged for) and ketchup.
They placed my order under the name of “Tyree” on 7/30/23 (for reference in case they care about rectifying this - they took my receipt or I would’ve...
Read moreNever eating at this location again. I placed an order on the app for a salad and drove the couple of minutes to get to the restaurant shortly after. I arrived at 10:35pm and the line around the building was at least seven cars deep to the point the line was in the parking lot. I waited for TEN MINUTES and not a single car moved, by that ten minute mark the app updated and said my order was ready and wouldn't let me cancel it. I called the store to ask if I could just come in and grab it and they said no, the lobby was closed. They wouldn't bring it out to me and I told them I was recovering from an illness and couldn't sit in my car for a long time, so I asked for a refund. They told me they couldn't do refunds and I needed to call their customer support line and hung up on me. At fifteen or so minutes into waiting with only a single car moving by that time, I left. I physically couldn't wait in the line for that long and by the time I'd get through the only open line, the food that may or may not have actually been ready would have been gross. I headed home and immediately called Whataburger's customer service line. They opened up a case and told me I'd get a refund. The next morning, I get an email telling me they won't be refunding me because it was my fault and once the food is "made" it can't be cancelled or refunded, but if the line hadn't moved and there were tons of other cars there, there was no guarantee the food had actually been made. It was just the guesstimate that the food was supposed to be ready between 10:44-47pm, with no way for me to know if the food was actually even prepared. Over the next three weeks, I called Whataburger SIX TIMES and never got my refund even though every rep I spoke to said there was no reason for me to not have gotten the refund. I finally gave up. I can't believe how rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate the entire company has been over this. I have completely refused to eat at one of their establishments since, I'm incredibly...
