Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Owensboro

If I could give less than one star I would. I was really looking forward to going to Cheddars because of the gluten free menu they offer. I ordered the spinach dip for an appetizer because it's gluten free. There was a penne noodle IN my spinach dip. Anyone that know anything about gluten knows that a noodle contaminating food is going to cause a person with celiac disease to get very sick.(It's like giving a person allergic to peanuts a peanut.) I showed the server the whole penne noodle and asked for a new dish being that this will cause issues. He said sure. Went to the back and came back to tell me that it was a piece of cheese. Really!?!?!? A piece of cheese. It was a whole penne noodle and you're not going to argue with me on if it was a piece of cheese. The orange piece that he thought was a piece of cheese was a piece of mandarin orange that was also found in the spinach dip. Like what idiot doesn't know the difference between a piece of cheese and a piece of orange!? After having being argued with, I asked for my server to cancel the order because who wants to eat somewhere, where there's something in their food that should be there. Not just 1 something, but 2 somethings!? The whole penne noodle and a piece of mandarin orange. Then the manager came passed our table very obviously trying to figure out if he wanted to talk to us. This idiot was worse than the server. It was a disaster and I won't go back. It's ridiculous to argue with a table of people that saw a noodle in their food and try to tell them it's cheese. Not good service, even worse management in front of house and in kitchen. Who doesn't have enough pride to make sure their kitchen is...

I will start off by saying. The menu was more vegetarian and vegan friendly before Dardin bought them out. I ordered the vegetable plate as I’m a vegan. I ordered French fries, they tasted like fish as they were fried in the same oil. I ordered coleslaw it came out looking the taste was sugar, with small hints of vinegar and cabbage not so tasty. I ordered what I thought said corn on the cob, however I was informed when the bowl hit the table it was corn OFF the cob... why bother with the word Cob at all? It’s canned corn and let’s not forget the sugar on this corn, not a tasty side. Now I’m 0 for three and I’m not done yet. The croissant had so much butter it was dripping just disgusting. The sale was the best part and I had to pick out all the nasty cheese and egg as they can’t follow simple instructions either. Service was super slow while others on the patio enjoyed filled drinks and returned waitress checks. This is not the case for us. Very disappointed in the lack of care for customers and lackadaisical attitude. Waitress was friendly, but friendly doesn’t cut it in the business and I’m well aware of what does. Scratch kitchen doesn’t mean it’s made in that kitchen. Find out the truth about the food being served before you order at this super unhealthy Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. Looking for healthier more nutritious vegetarian and vegan options. Times have changed and more change is needed for this place to keep up with the future of food innovation. Me and my family had bad experience usually when I go here I have a good time and the waiter be nice but when me and my family when to cheddars yesterday hostess was being unprofessional treating my mom like she was her home girl then she act like she didn’t want us to be outside then the waiter we had she was rude she literally toss straws at are tables waiter didn’t give her name to us then toss my sister plate didn’t give us refills ask if u want a refill then bomb rush us didn’t even got the chance to eat because she was rushing us to get out saying y’all want to go box and the bill knowing just had our food out didn’t get the chance to relax or nothing I don’t appreciate it if you a person of color do not give them no tip go to management cuz u praising them for bad behavior it was a white woman waitress I didn’t like how my family treated and it was my mom birthday my sister and her husband and kids come down to do something for my mom and this how we got treated even the manager know he kinda act like he don’t want to do really nothing about something like that you post to talk to the hole staff if the person don’t know the name of the person… Usually we me and my family go their they would have good waiters and stuff give them tips but i know happens against going straight to management not give no one no tip… even you had a bad day don’t treat your customers like this but I watched how she didn’t do that with other customers she only did that with us we only native indigenous people of color she didn’t do that to the white people there only us I don’t...
