The reason for the 3 stars is that this restaurant is so inconsistent when it comes to the food and service. Half the time I’m so pleased with the service and with my food order, but the other half the time I swear I won’t go back, but I always give it another try because when the food is good it’s good. I’m obsessed with the Sriracha Hot Wings. They are the only thing I order off the menu and I always order them for curbside takeout. When they are cooked and seasoned correctly they are by far the best hot wings around, but I’ve learned to request them extra crispy and extra spicy because I’ve received them so undercooked that I’ve had to take them home and cook them myself just so they are edible. The service is hit or miss too. I only order in the evening and I’ve had horrible service more times than I can count. Most of the time I have to go inside and get my order because they don’t bring it out to my car, but I’ve also stood at the end of the bar and seen my order sitting there but the bartenders will blatantly ignore me. I mean they will know I’m standing there but they will make eye contact and then continue doing whatever they are doing, or they will completely just walk away from the bar altogether, and then eventually they will walk over and say something to me. I don’t believe in not tipping anything, and even if I wanted to i couldn’t adjust their tip to reflect the bad service because I’ve already paid and added my tip when i ordered online. Even when I have to go inside and get my order myself instead of having them bring it to me for my curbside order I will tip on top of what I already tipped if they actually acknowledge me in a timely manner. Like I said I always order in the evening and it’s very rare that I’ve seen it so busy that they can’t acknowledge me in a timely manner. I would say that several of their evening shift employees need to work on their customer service, especially when they are...
Read moreWe don't have a Drake's in Bowling Green yet so we tried Owensboro since we were there for a ballgame. There were 10 people in our party. We were seated & drink orders were taken. We got a couple of appetizers. Fried pickles were good at first but bottom half were floating in grease. Food orders were taken but when served by another waitress we had to swap out plates to get everything right. My daughter sent back sweet potato fries that were cold. My tater tots were cold also but I didn't say anything. Food was pretty good then Chloe brought our tickets. Mine seemed kind of high. I then realized she charged for 2 beers & my husband only had 1. We also had a sushi charge that we didn't order. My daughter checked hers & was charged for two Mushroom burgers but only had one. There were other mistakes also. When Chloe came back & she said why don't you just add the 2 tickets together & split the bill in half. I said no because their bill was more. She finally agreed to change the bills. We kept trying to tell her what we ordered but she was halfway listening & talked over everything we said. She brought back the new tickets & it was still wrong. I told her she didn't charge for chicken tenders but charged for my husband's hamburger & also my son in laws. She said they were close to the same price so it would be ok. She refused to redo the tickets for me or my daughter. Then she said, aren't we having a good time? My daughter said we were until all this happened. We might be back but will definitely ask for a different waitress. We normally tip very good but she missed...
Read moreThis place is awesome! My family and I ate dinner here the other night and my wife and I came back the next day for lunch. Was OVERLY satisfied both times! To start, their attention to the customer is top notch. When employees walked past us (even other than our waitress), they would take away empty plates and ask if we needed anything...including refills. We were greeted and asked how things were going multiple times throughout our meals. The bar is very nice and has over 24 craft beers on tap. Their bourbon flights and liquor menu is a nice touch as well. Now for the food! OUTSTANDING!! We have tried sushi a few times at other restaurants and I’ve never liked it. Our waitress was very helpful in finding a roll for us,and it was fantastic. It’s called the crunchy munchy roll. It doesn’t have raw fish and is much more palatable for those afraid of trying it. We loved it! The Juicy Lucy mini burgers are mouth watering good. They use a triple cheese blend on steak and shake type patties, then they top it with garlic aioli. You get 2 and a side, and trust me it’s more to eat than you think lol. The next day we tried the fish minis....money!! Some folks’ fish has 0 flavor or tastes like oil...not here! We also tried a roll I saw in the display called the crab rangoon roll.....WOW!!! Honestly I could go on all day about this place. Even just the ambiance of a wood burning fire place, and the fact that the sides of the building have “garage doors” that they can open and create a draft through the whole building. Trust me, this is the spot in...
