Even though I'm giving a lower rating, I'd like to start with the positives of this establishment. I loved the environment. Good music, but not too loud. Decorated beautifully. Wonderful service, etc. Happy to see a place like this brought to West town :) I also love their initiatives for making food from scratch and locally sourced. I also enjoyed my PawPaw cider.
But the burger and fries........ooof! I'm willing to come back and try something else, but the burger and fries need help. Rainbow bar arguably has the best burger in town, and KP arguably the best fries, and they're both across the street. I know that's steep competition, but there's so much that could be improved on with this establishments burger/fries to at least come close in said competition. (Also I'm sure they want to more so be known for their beer vs their burgers, but if both are a knockout, that just brings in more business)
I liked that the fries were a little stiffer, but they were so much so that they were a lil tough. Could've also used some seasoning. I bet they'd be perfect with chilli/cheese. May I'll try that next time. The burger itself wasn't necessarily bad tasting but the bun was soooooo tough to get through. So dense and chewy. It could maybe benefit from some steaming before being served, or may just need a change of bun altogether. I feel bad bashing the bun this hard because I can tell it was indeed freshly made, but it's not it. Next time I think I'll try their pizza or...
Read moreSadly disappointed. This was our first time stopping since they opened recently in Owosso. We were excited there was a local brewery finally by us. Not a lot of seating available but it is a smaller space. We ordered a 5 pour flight of their beers to try and found most of them hard to drink. The ones we picked either tasted like water or had some serious funk to it. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the wife got the meatball sandwich. Both entrees tasted like straight up cafteria/hospital food. Dry, unseasoned, and the buns needed a gallon of water to get down. On top of that the portion sizes were laughable. I suspect a toddler would still be hungry after finishing. For nearly $15 a meal it's a total ripoff. We had high hopes but in the end found another place we won't be...
Read moreHubby & I stopped in on a Friday night. The place was packed. Only available seating was at the bar so that's where we plopped. No complaints though & we would sit at the bar again. Atmosphere was awesome. Food absolutely delicious. We started out with their pretzel bites & their homemade beer cheese. They were so yummy! Hubby had a smoked burger with their homemade fries & said the burger had great flavor & we both enjoyed the fries. I had their pulled pork tacos. One of each kind & I would order those again in a heartbeat! We both drank water. I'm not a beer person but will try one of their sweet wines next time. Can't wait to go back with my brother & dad in tow as they'll enjoy the...
