Itsa Bakery Thing — Restaurant in Owosso

It was national Donut Day and we made it a point of going out and having a donut. My niece was in town for the first time since she was a baby. She was 8 years old and all she wanted was a chocolate donut. We got a cool picture of her but as soon as she bit into it she said it was yucky.

I got my traditional maple triangle and it didn't taste the same. My sister said the same thing about her donut. My other sister got her peanut butter cinnamon roll and she said it was fabulous.

I was just in this bakery, and I believe it was the owner taken care of me. I asked him for a long John, but they were out of them and he told me that if I wanted an amazing treat that I should get the strawberry and cream long John He also told me that if I didn’t like it, I could come back and get a Friel long John. Now I realize it was a total set up because this Is the freaking bomb? I kinda would like to lie to him and tell him I didn’t like it. White's Bakery was a family tradition 75 years ago when I was growing up in the Owosso area. This weekend, while visiting Owosso and sharing the White's tradition with my adult son, we stopped by the bakery and shared our story with the owner.
