Panino Veloce — Restaurant in Oxford

Party of 7. Dined here for lunch on Sunday afternoon after the Oklahoma game meeting with friends who attended from out of town. We are from out of town as well.

Very disappointed.

Surprised at the high ratings, or maybe this is good cuisine for a college town? Orders were a mix of sandwiches, salads, and focaccia bread.

I had the Caesar salad with added chicken. Honestly, it looked and tasted like I went to Walmart and bought a bag of shredded iceberg lettuce and cut some hunks of Walmart rotisserie chicken breast, tossed in Caesar salad dressing and placed it in a paper square serving dish for a hamburger and fries.

Other parties said the sandwich was okay, but very below or average. Drinks are hot canned drinks with a glass of ice. Once you are delivered your food, don’t expect any other attention from service staff despite adding a $25 tip when ordering. Honestly, any other fast food restaurants would be better than this. I will say the focaccia bread was not bad.

The best lunch I have had in years!! Was so good I went back the next day. I could eat the potato salad every day and never get tired of it… and the bread!! Each item is so flavorful and perfectly put together that you can’t go wrong with any of them (and if you’re like me you will have a hard time deciding what to get because they’re all that good) The staff are also so kind and friendly and greet you with genuine smiles and provide amazing service! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is and I can’t wait to go back to Oxford to...

Delicious sandwiches, great coffee and the nicest people you’ll ever meet! You eat at Panino Veloce (and their other restaurant, Tarasque Cucina) and wonder why every restaurant can’t be like them. I had the Pastrami sandwich and an Americano to drink. The sourdough semolina isn’t too chewy or tough like other house-baked breads, and the pastrami was piled on, I could barely even finish the sandwich it was so much! Can’t wait to be back in town to try the rest...
