Mattress Firm Oxford — Hotel in Oxford

I went in the store in April and financed a mattress and box spring that was supposed to be delivered in May. I found out that the same week my mattress was to be delivered that my new bed frame(purchased from a different company) wasn't going to fit in my room. The new bed frame I was going to get did not require the box spring. I attempted to get my order changed two weeks in a row and each time I spoke with the same employee that helped me make my purchase. Fast forward to today, June 1st. I called the store and a gentleman answered. Turns out the employee that I was in constant contact with was not very professional or efficient in performing her job and she was the reason my order was so messed up. The gentleman that answered the phone is the new manager that took over the store a month ago. He asked me to come in and he sat there with me and we worked everything out. I'm getting my mattress delivered on Monday (it's Friday), that's insanely amazing!!! He went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my order. He provided exceptional customer service and was very empathetic to my situation with the employee. That employee is no longer with the company and this poor man is having to clean up all of her mess she left behind. In my opinion, since that employee is no longer with the company, this store will be in tip top condition thanks to this new manager. A month ago I would not have recommended anyone to purchase from the Oxford location. Today, I can say that I would happily recommend anyone to Jerry (the new manager) at the Oxford location. I had the most incredible service experience at the Mattress Firm in Oxford MS! I was moving my son into his apartment in Oxford over the weekend. Because we live 8 hours away, and had limited space in our vehicles and U-Haul trailer, we decided to purchase his mattress in our hometown, and pick it up in Oxford. When we arrived, the salesperson Terrace was extremely helpful, but she could not find our mattress in the store. So she called her manager, who was about to sit down for dinner. Jerry, the manager, came immediately to the store to help look for it in the storage area. It was not there. Jerry immediately offered to upgrade our mattress to a nicer, more expensive mattress, so my son wouldn’t have to sleep on the floor that night, at no additional cost! Again, his Mattress Firm store did not even get credit for the sale, yet he immediately gave us the upgrade. Wow! Talk about incredible customer service and leadership! It was not Jerry’s fault that our mattress was not there, yet he took control of the situation, and gave us the best solution we could have dreamed for right on the spot.
