We made a random choice on where to eat for our last meal in Kentucky before we headed back home to Kentucky. After a quick look on places around the historic district of Paducah we chose Broussard’s and I’m glad we did.
We stopped in at the most random time of about 2:50 pm so we weren’t expecting much as both my boyfriend and I are in the service industry and know how those in between times can be food and service wise. Pierce greeted us right away and got us seated. He let us know about the lunch menu ending soon and recommended if we wanted something off that menu to go ahead and decide. We chose to order off the main (or dinner(?)) so it wasn’t a problem at all but I’m glad he told us. My son got the kid’s cheeseburger and he said it was “the best burger he’s ever had” which is high praise from a picky six year old. My boyfriend chose classic Chicken tenders, fries, and rice&beans. He also said that they were some of the best chicken fingers he’s ever had and, again, that’s some high praise from him. (At one point, he bit into it and I saw the juice spray out a little bit so you KNOW that chicken wasn’t dry in the slightest). I went with the Crawfish Etouffe Cajun Pasta and good god it was insanely delicious. The only critique I have on it was a wish the pasta was slightly more al dente but that’s a personal preference of mine and I don’t hold that against them in the slightest. I was surprised when Pierce told me it came with a side so I chose the veggie plate (green beans, broccoli, carrots, peppers) and was shocked when it came out. It was literally the size of my entree and covered in butter and what I assume was blackening seasoning. So freaking good. We ended up getting the beignets to go, I have yet to try them but Pierce vouched for them and said his boss hand makes them so I cannot wait to dive in. We also got some drinks. I chose the Croc Cooler (rum based) and was glad I did. Good poor and yummy taste. My boyfriend went with two tanqueray and tonics and well, if you mess those up then we’ve got an issue lol. All was good.
The kicker? Our bill wasn’t even $80 after four entrees (my son ordered a second burger), three drinks, and a dessert. That’s insane and almost unheard of where we are from. I am BEYOND glad we chose to stop in here, from Peirce to the food, everything was great and the best place we have eaten at on our Kentucky Lake vacation. It might be a while til we are back but I hope to visit...
Read moreUpdate on Broussard’s: I was in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and one of the things that always impresses me is when an owner or manager of a business responds to a complaint. It’s not always easy for them but to me it means they “listened”to what a customer has to say. Thank you Broussard’s.
Update on Broussard’s: 02/04/2023 Hubby and I stopped in for lunch-Worst experience!!!! The menu’s have no prices on them. You have to scan the front of the menu with your IPhone . My husband left his phone in the car so we only have my phone. The Restaurant has WiFi but it takes a password. NOWHERE on the front of the menu do they print the password! When I ask the waitress for the prices she said the only way was through scanning the menu (ok now my head is about to explode 🤯) to told my husband we were leaving-on the way out I ask to speak to the manager. The manager was very nice explaining that three products on the menu constantly changes price due to market demand and that their corporate office controls the new menus! Well Chili’s restaurant and several other chains have a small box on the table that allow you to see menus with pricing. Until Broussard changes their practices concerning their menus we will not be back. There are to many good restaurants in Paducah! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Review: 2023-Had lunch with my Lunch Buddies today. We celebrated Carla’s upcoming birthday at Broussard’s Cajun restaurant. I ordered the Lunch stir fry Broccoli, carrots, green peppers, onions served on a bed of rice, Janie ordered the stuffed potato with chicken Creole. Sandra and Carla ordered Étouffée and Greta rounded it out with a delicious juicy burger. The food was delicious and everyone had lots of leftovers for dinner tonight. One of the things I like about this restaurant is that you can order extra to take home to add to your dinner or for lunch the next day.
Check out on the Lunch Menu: All cups just 2.79 with an Entrée or Lunch Special during lunch hours only: Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Creole, Shrimp or...

Nestled along the scenic banks of the Ohio River—home to over 150 species of fish—Broussard’s offers more than just a meal; it delivers an experience. Perfectly placed across from the National Quilt Museum and steps from historic downtown Paducah, this location is a feast for the eyes before you even sit down.
Though Broussard's is a chain, you’d never know it. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into a delicious work of art. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and subtly infused with southern charm.
I kicked off my evening with Felix's Lemonade, and let me tell you—Geeeeez Loooouise!! Misty, the mixologist with magic hands, crafted a drink that was sunshine in a glass. The Irish Honey Whiskey paired with citrusy sweetness was absolutely sublime—I could’ve sipped on it for days!
The culinary highlights? Oh, where do I begin? The cornbread, buttery and golden, topped with jambalaya side dish—bold and hearty, and the crawfish étouffée—a symphony of flavor. But the showstopper? Chef Mable’s secret dish, a mystery masterpiece that was truly the crème de la crème of the night.
Service was top-tier. Every staff member was warm, kind, and genuinely attentive, making the entire experience feel like a homecoming.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, Broussard’s is an absolute must. Come hungry, leave inspired—this is southern dining at its finest.
Thank you all for always going...
