O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Paducah

We drove by Saturday and saw the Prime Rib sign in front of the building. The sign however did not say "after 4pm". Once we got inside the inside sign specified after 4pm. We walked in at 3:15. We spoke to the hostess Pat and I told her, "oh we were wanting the prime rib but it doesn't start till 4". She was so nice and friendly. She said let me see what I can do. She came back all smiles and said we can get you prime rib!! She seated us and like I said she was super nice and friendly and went out of her way to get us prime rib. Once seated Our server was Brandon D. I have not had service like this anywhere in a very long time. Very polite, very mannered, He checked on us and checked on us. Each time asking can he get us anything. He kept our drinks filled, hot roll basket filled and did an exceptional job all around. You rarely get service like this, especially from two individuals anywhere anymore. The politeness and the use of manners goes a long way in my book. The food was great. We started with chips and artichoke spinach dip. Very warm and creamy. Chips light and crunchy. Salads full with tasty dressings. Our prime rib arrived right on que. $29.99 for the prime rib was a good price we thought. Husbands was medium well and mine well done. Both cooked perfect. Prime rib was tender with a great flavor. It was served with horseradish and auju Fries and potato each so hot we had to wait to eat. Each basket of rolls were also served fresh and hot. We drink water with meals and it was free. Ate there twice, and it was two times too many. First time I was sick within an hour. My wife called to see if anyone had called to report being sick after eating there. Person that answered the phone got defensive and hung up. Second time (tonight, 2/28/2019), I don't even know where to start. Waited forever for someone to take our drink order. No silverware. When we asked, our waitress literally shouts across the room for the hostess to bring us silverware. She gets a tone in her voice when my 3 year old son asks if they have strawberry milk. We asked for extra napkins, never got them, had to use wet wipes from our diaper bag. She set a plate of hot shrimp smack dab in from of my 17 month old. My wife ordered chicken tenders and a loaded baked potato no sour cream. Comes out and it has sour cream. Waitress brings another one and seems legitimately aggravated with my wife. I offered to pay for the potato so I could have it for lunch tomorrow, she looks at me and says no it will be thrown away. I ordered the fish and chips. I get three pieces of "fish" that I could have thrown in the parking lot and they would have bounced across the road. The fries were little pieces about 1" long and there were maybe 20 of them. All in all, I wish I could have given 1/2 a star, because 1 is too generous. I won't be going back, too many decent restaurants within 5 miles to go back to...

The food was excellent but the service was very slow. It took forever to get our food and then a different waitress brought it and gave out the food to wrong people at our table. (we had salads and a couple had different request for theirs and this waitress didn't know that) Then we didn't see our waitress for a while. Once we got our tickets she had decided it all wrong and we had to wait yet AGAIN for it to be corrected. Which finally the manager brought our tickets to us. He again came back for our money. We waited AGAIN for a long while for our change, we had paid cash) My son didn't say keep the change he had given them almost correct amount but should have received some coins back and they didn't bother to bring them back or even ask if he needed change. Just kept it! Mine was kinda the same ... I gave them $100 bill and my bill was $22.88. They only brought me back the cash no coins. I know that's not much but it wasn't their place to assume we didn't want it! My son's was like $36.27. So it was almost a whole dollar of changes. If they do that all night to customers it would add up quickly. Just didn't like that! The waitress was nice WHEN she was at our table. Just took way longer than it should for us to be there. We had 3 salads, cheeseburger and fries and a kids grilled cheese. Shouldn't have taken forever to get our food much less our tickets...
