I got the Kingsland pasta, blooming onion, and I added lobster tail and 4 shrimp. I did order it doordash which is probably why it sucked because I think they could careless a out the dash, they don't get tips when its doordash I would imagine. However I would tip the server getting it ready if I could. The bloomin Onion was as expected it was pretty good although they never give you enough sauce and when you order it to go they don't give you a opportunity to add extra you have a place to put notes to the cook or whoever but outback declines to let you do that so you're not able to get the message across that you would like to order some extra sauce which stinks if you get DoorDash like if I picked it up myself I could then ask but of course I couldn't ask and I didn't get any so I have half a blooming onion that's not going to be able to be eating with the sauce. I don't know how these restaurants have not figured out to vent there to go packages because what happens is condensation builds up and all the food inside starts getting dripped on and gets really soggy and so you're just left with the bunch of soggy blooming onion. I should have known that it would happen but you think that you spend twice as much for it to go meal that they have their process down and could prevent such things because do these restaurants not have testing of their to-go packages to see how the to ghost experience goes because if they had tested their packages they would be like oh all the food gets wet from the condensation that probably doesn't taste very good by the time the customer eats it. I was still able to enjoy the bloomin Onion thankfully because the entree was one of the worst steaks I've ever had in my life. If I was going to guess I would guess that the steak was cooked in a dishwasher it seems like they cooked it with steam and not on a grill In fact there's no way of this steak was cooked on a grill and there is not one pinch of any seasoning whatsoever It literally tastes like a took a steak out of the package raw and just started eating it. The pasta seems like it was made yesterday and they reheated it for me no flavor at all except the bloody meat taste. I will say that I was able to eat it It wasn't like awful but I rather just go get some frozen pasta and cook it over the stove and it's just as good whenever you're spending $30 on a pasta I want to feel like I didn't just go to Walmart grab some frozen pasta and cooked it on the stove I can make a pasta taste like this when I go out to eat at a place like outback or any restaurant I want to taste something that I feel like I can't make because that's why I go out to eat because I want to get a better cook than me to cook my meal but this was the worst Alfredo pasta I think I've ever ordered at a restaurant The only saving grace on this meal was the bloomin Onion being as good as a blueman onion is however if outback is going to want to compete with longhorn steakhouse they better learn how to cook a steak and learn how to package their food so that 15 to 20 minutes later when the customer receives it it's not got about a cup of water dripped inside of it. On a positive note I will say the lobster was good The lobster sauce on the other hand was just melted butter I think whoever is cooking it out back or maybe somebody took over outback and said not the season any of the food because it literally tastes like plain Alfredo with plain fettuccine noodles with a steak with no seasoning just cooked for 10 minutes and cut up and thrown on there and then it's watered down with condensation as it travels in the car to where I'm at. I tried outback about 5 years ago and it sucked. That was a dine in experience. Outback probably use to be really good, but I guess maybe they're going bankrupt and can't afford seasoning. The possibly pay their cooks so little that nobody wants to stay and learn how to actually cook because if you pay people pennies you're going to get a pennies worth of work. I'll go with longhorn...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here Saturday (June 22, 2019) afternoon at I'd say around 1:30pm. We were seated pretty much as soon as we walked in the door, and there was only two others there that were seated together. Our waitress (Michelle) approached us not long after we were seated, and she was friendly, but things went downhill after we placed our order. Others ended up coming in after us. I'd say approximately four groups of 4 or less.
We got our appetizer (a bloomin' onion) about 5 to 10 minutes after ordering, and it was good, except I thought the sauce that came with it tasted a little sour, but hubby liked it, so maybe it was just my taste buds. As for the rest of the meal, we ended up waiting I'd say 20 to 30 minutes.
I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and my husband ordered a chicken entree with fries and I think one other side (I can't remember the name of his chicken entree). Anyway, the groups that came in after us got their orders before us, and I know one of the groups had ordered steaks, because we saw their orders being served to them. In fact, everyone who came in after us got their orders before we did!
As we were getting ready to offer to pay for our drinks and the appetizer then leave to go elsewhere, our meal finally arrived, so we stayed.
My cheeseburger, as you'll see in the picture I posted, was burnt on bottom, but I scrapped the burnt part off with a knife and ate it anyway. Well, without the bun, because the bun tasted old, and even with the burnt part scrapped of the cheeseburger, it didn't taste right either. Some of my fries weren't done all the way either. Now, hubby did say his chicken was good and his fries were done, which I was thankful for. At least he got a good meal.
As for the continued service from our waitress after she brought our meal, it wasn't great. She remained friendly, but she must've been forgetful, because she kept telling me she'd be back to refill my coffee and wouldn't return. Then she would finally return to refill it after forgetting twice, so I mostly drank the water that came with the coffee to wash the awful tasting cheeseburger down. Let's just say my husband and I decided we will not be returning to the Outback Steakhouse in Paducah, Ky again. Instead, if we want a great and less expensive cheeseburger and fries, we'll travel the few extra miles down the road to Five Guys. And if we want to eat at a steakhouse again, we'll go to Logan's instead.
I definitely do NOT recommend the Outback Steakhouse in...
Read moreWe have not been in this restaurant in years due to a terrible experience in years past. My wife wanted to come for her birthday because she's a big jeep person (owns 4) and the mixed drink she'd been seeing that had the koladuck in it was all she wanted for her birthday. We invited friends and meet to eat. Our server was super nice but when I asked about the drink she said yes they had them. Drinks came but no duck. Wasn't a big deal so we ordered another and asked her if she could be sure this one had it. She said yes but it might have a different one as she thinks they are out of that one. A bit bummed but ok a duck is fine. She said it would probably be a shark. We expected a duck with shark head or something of the like. Lol no it was an actual plastic shark. So we chalked it up to bad timing and went on to celebrate. Ordered a flight of the margaritas on special. Was brought something different in different glasses that didn't fit in the boomerang and was told they were out of tge glasses that fit it. No salt, sugar on the rim. We moved on and ordered an onion. I'd never had 1 but our friends had. Within 2 bites they said something wasn't cooked long enough and sent it back for one cooked longer so it wasn't slimy. At this point trying not to fuss or ruin her birthday dinner we ordered our food. Our friends had steaks and I did with shrimp. My steak was very tough but I didn't say anything I just pressed on. I noticed my friends were not eating theirs and when my wife went to the restroom asked why. They too said they were a bit tough but didn't want to say anything. I didn't make a scene as our service was good but she was having to return food for the table behind us for similar issues. We asked for the check and I gave her my card. Not until I went to the vehicle did I notice I'd paid for 2 beers I didn't order. I asked our friends and they paid for the flights that should have been mine. I tried to pay them for the drinks but they refused. No ducks, poor food, unsure on what drinks we had on the boomerang but didn't look like the ones others had around us. Looks like we should have chosen a different experience for a special day. Fyi our server said it was the manager who chose to put the shark in the drink however we never meet them or heard from...
