Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Palatka

The 24 wings where you get to choose out of 4 flavors? Absolutely inedible when I got them. I only ordered the Honey BBQ and the Sweet & Sour for my 24 wings. But JESUS christ, was there some kind of cross contamination with the Ghost Pepper ones? These wings were so damn spicy I, no joke, started feeling ill while sweating. My mouth hates me, my gut hates me. I'm writhing in pain while typing out this review. Even the KFC Hot & Spicy specials (Before they were swapped for wraps) weren't THIS agonizingly spicy. And these are suppose to NOT be the Ghost Pepper ones? If this was intentional then I'm terrified of the Ghost Pepper wings.

Obviously there's some exaggeration here. Nonetheless, actually inedible and I'm very unhappy. Overpriced wings for agony is not something I expected.

Also the drive-thru cashier was rude and would not let me speak.

Edit: It's been a while since I touched this Popeyes and I'm still upset at the money wasted on pure agony. I genuinely felt ill to the stomach just from ONE wing. It wouldn't have been as bad if the drive-thru lady weren't rude as hell.

I get it. Fast food sucks to work at, I've worked at fast food, it was hell. Customers abusing you and you can't do anything about it. Low pay. The fast food model does not work anymore. But there's a limit, like not taking it out on everyone around you.\

Honestly from everything I've heard around Palatka, the Popeyes night shift is awful. Both to work as and towards customers.

I hope things get better. But this Agony Wing incident still lingers in my mind and I'm still...

So, I decided to try this place for the very first time. Granted, the food was good. But I won't be back here because one, it's suppose to be a family restaurant.. yet the employees are cursing loud enough for the guest to hear . Plus when I came in I wasn't welcomed. Which big deal, right? I can get over that. What I can't get over is the whole time I was trying to put my order in the order taker obviously had more important things about her personal life to discuss with her co worker and ignored me for the first 3 minutes. I finally said in front of her manger.."I'm ready ,I guess whenever you are" manager said nothing nor took action to get my order. Finally my order was on and while I was trying to ask questions and add a drink on I was ignored. Twice!!!the manger noticed but still didn't say a word to the employee or to me. Not even an apology! Instead just slid a cup over to me. The employees didn't have a welcoming smile or any respect towards the fact that they are at work! Terrible customer service. It shouldnt matter what kind of job you have you should have respect for yourself and the ppl around you. With that, your also at a job doesn't matter what kind of job..you should still maintain a professional atmosphere. Cleanliness asll terrible..trash needed to go out,tables wiped down. Not all the lights worked, they needed a lot sweep and they were out of napkins. Oh and floors were gross. Tried it..but never again. If you don't care about your service then sure...the food is decent but I could also fry chicken at home if I want...

I don’t normally leave reviews for fast food places but I felt the need to leave this one. After getting off from my customer service job where I give excellent service all day long, I really don’t appreciate the absolute rudeness while trying to pick up some dinner on my way home. The workers and I believe manager (she had on a different shirt than the others that’s why I assume maybe manager or shift leader) treat customers disgustingly horrible, for no reason! There is no reason to snap and literally yell at the top of your lungs with a horrible attitude at every person trying to order food. I am shocked that people have jobs and treat customers so badly. I was polite and articulate when ordering my food and the young lady with large fake eyelashes was completely rude from the start. When her “manager” gave me my food and asked if I need anything else, I said I’m good but I think she needs a break because she’s being really rude. At this point she was literally screaming at the person trying to order. So the manager yells to me, with another horrible attitude, that “SHE AINT BEIN RUDE YALL ACT LIKE YOU CANT HEAR US ON THE INTERCOM” I couldn’t have gotten out of that parking lot fast enough. I’ll never ever return here and I sure hope you train your employees how to be civil and treat customers with respect because these terrible attitudes from your employees are going to kill...
