Absolutely loved my experience at PasteListos in Palm Springs! As a Venezuelan, walking into this restaurant felt like stepping into a piece of home. The owners are the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet—they truly make you feel like at home. Their passion for sharing venezuelan culture shines through in every detail, from the warm hospitality to the incredible food.
Speaking of the food, it’s nothing short of perfection. The tequeños are crispy, cheesy bites of heaven, and the arepas are absolutely to die for—authentic, flavorful, and made with so much love. Every dish is a reminder of the flavors I grew up with, and it’s clear they take pride in getting every recipe just right.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and impeccably clean, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Whether you’re Venezuelan or just someone who loves great food, you need to give this place a try. I can’t recommend it enough—thank you, PasteListos, for giving me a little taste of home right here in...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Frankly, I didn't expect too much when it recently opened in a space previously occupied by an unexceptional crab place, but they totally caught me by surprise. Not only is it just blocks from the house, but the food is incredible: vivid flavors, fresh and authentic ingredients and made to order for the more involved items like arepas. The empanadas are made with cornmeal, which is apparently the way in Venezuela. Well, I'm not sure I'll ever enjoy them any other way. While the flakey dough of Argentinian empanadas is what I was used to, this corn variation is so much better and now my new favorite. The interior is simple and definitely not fancy, but I'm glad they have put their energy into the delicious food. We ate in, but I could easily see taking it home, and the empanadas and pastelitos could easily be eaten on the go. This place deserves to be incredibly successful, and we will certainly do our part to keep them going...
Read moreI have previously tried their food in The Street Fair at College of the Desert and am very happy to see this family now has a brick & mortar location, and so close to downtown. All of their dishes are fantastic, the Patacones are well balanced while their Arepas are delicious. I've had their savory Pastelitos previously but their sweet ones are simply decadent, particularly the Guava & Cheese, but must point out that their Apple Pastelito reminds me of the ones from the golden arches back in the day. Jesus & Daisy are wonderful with customers and their menu keeps them coming back, only a week open and they already have repeat customers, that should tell you everything you...
