Carl's Jr. — Restaurant in Palmdale

This is surely the oldest Carls in Palmdale as it has been open since around 1972. My brother worked there. It was his first Job at age 16. Went there 3 wks. ago for a burger and a shake. The A/C had not been working for 2 whole days and it was a greenhouse in the front where you order your food as it faced West and it was 4pm.

I rarely complain unless I ask for a refund for fear of what could be done to the food if I dare ask for it to be re-done. I told the Mgr. about the temp and to her it was like 'what do you expect the A/C has been broke for 2 days'. My burger buns was toasted to the point it was brown and crunchy. The shake was slushy not thick as it is suppose to be. I am thankful that next time I ALMOST feel like giving this Carls business I'll buy a Lottery ticket instead. Who knows I just might win. I paid thirty something dollars for two cold wester bacon cheeseburgers.The criscutt fries were cold and old.My order of fried zucchini was upside down in the bag and completely undercooked. The zucchini was completely separate from the breading. I was starving so I began to eat the burger about halfway through the cold Burger I got so upset I decided to call.I was told by the manager that the only food that would be refunded would be the food that I brought back completely whole.She would not refund my money and I repeat would not replace the order unless it was all returned. REALLY! I will never go back to this place. What a waste of money. At the end of the day I was still hungry out $32 never again. The food was just ok. $23 for 2 combos. Expensive & bad service. The girl at the register was obviously not wanting to be there. There soda machines were all out of order either flat or watered down. I asked for help several times & I felt like she didn't care. Other workers were more helpful but the attitude of the one girl just ruined the experience. They kept shutting off the soda dispenser for the customers. I asked her for a refill from behind the counter but she just handed me my empty cup back directing me to the dispenser which had been turned off. Then she said she'll turn it back on.
