Richard's Drive-In — Restaurant in Palmer Township

me and my family went here because we read great reviews about it online, and because there are always customers there when we drive by. we were completely disappointed with our food and will never go back. the fries we got were previously frozen and soft. They put ketchup on top of them then wrapped them, so when we got home they were very soggy and of poor taste. I ordered a California cheeseburger (onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo). When I got home and opened it, it had no cheese, it had a generic, crumpled bun, diced onion instead of slices, lettuce shreds instead of leaves, and the most disappointing - the patty. the hamburger patty was literally 3 millimeters thick, well done on one side and pink on the other, it was much smaller than the already small bun, and it was the driest meat I've ever had. there was only a small amount of mayo on 1/4 of the bun, the onions were clumped in the middle which made for a very nasty and unpleasant bite. i only ate half of it and it was hard to eat the amount I did eat. this burger was much, much worse than a burger from the $1 menu from mcdonalds or burger king and it was not worth the money or the time. do not waste your time going to this place, its a rip-off and I'm furious that money was wasted on horrible food. oh and the lady who was working there was leaning on the counter in front of the door with her eyes closed for...

Went to Richard's 4pm 7/23/23 no other cars in the parking lot and nobody inside. They were filling a large order that was called in. No problem. Placed our order 2 hot dogs everything and order of fries salt and ketchup. 3 other people came in after us and placed large orders cheesestaeaks, nuggets, burgers, fries and shakes. No problem. Those people got their food and were leaving. We said where's our food we've been her 20-25 minutes girl throws her hands in the air and says I don't know I'm not making the food. She took our order.... the guy filling the order says we're very busy short staffed don't you see us filling a big order. Yup... but you filled all these orders after us and they've left. Where's ours? He's still yelling about filling orders and being stressed out... we asked for our money back as he's still yelling how busy and short staffed they are. The gentleman from the back walks out and asks what did we order. We told him and he looks down and on the counter near the register laid our order... she never gave it to the guy yelling... We've been coming here our whole lives and know the kids who are the owners now. Never had an issue even when they were busy and there's only normally the same amount of people...

Not the worst food I've ever eaten but definitely not worth the 4.5 average they have.

Quite overpriced for what you get or what this place is. A hole in the wall mom-and-pop it isn't. It was like $13 for a hamburger, fries and a soda. The hamburger was grey and cold despite standing in store and eating on the premise which baffles me considering the store was packed and struggling to pump out orders.

The fries were hot which was the only good thing.

Not to mention they only deal in cash so it is a complete PITA for anyone living in the modern era.

Their prices online are completely wrong too. I brought enough cash for a meal and found out each item was like $1 - $2 more than they had shown. Thankfully the cashier took my money despite...
