This is kind of a mixed bag here because there were some great things and some not so great things. This being my first time at a Wingstop, I was excited. The business is part of a strip mall in Easton and had some tables inside but seemed highly geared towards takeout. The people behind the counter were very friendly, but it took a very long time to get the food. I'm not sure if that was due to being short staffed or a separate concern, but it wasn't sort of long...it was long.
So I am normally a huge fan of fresh cut fries, but these were not cooked through. I'm guessing they weren't par cooked and then fried a second time (which is the best way to handle fresh cut), but they were still hard in the center. That's after waiting a long time for the food. The flavor was good so it's unfortunate they didn't get the proper cook time.
I got the Hot Buffalo wings and the "Spicy Korean Q" wings. The buffalo wings were cooked. Cooked nicely, nice size to the wing (not too big or too small), there was a good coating of sauce, and there was an even blend of flats to drums. I also enjoyed the blue cheese here, it was not too chunky or too watery. This combo was honestly very enjoyable. The Spicy Korean Q wings also had a nice flavor to them, but I didn't find these to really have any spice at all. Felt like a one dimensional sauce which was upsetting because I'm a big fan of sweet heat. Had there been any kick to these at all I would have been even more pumped. It's not that I didn't like them, I just thought the name was a bit misleading.
10 wings/fries/fountain drink was $17 before tax. Felt a little steep to me but wing prices these days are all over the place so I guess I could have known that was coming. I would definitely go back, I'd like to try out some other sauces and see how their chicken sandwich is. Wingstop Didn't Suck...but there are some easy improvements that could be made that would really step...
Read moreNot sure why Wingstop offers pickup time online. Waited 30 mins after my online selected time. • Poor ordering system IMO. To start, the order received time was hours after I submitted the order online. • The pickup window attendant was trying to be nice and kept telling me “Another 10 mins” multiple times….. After the 3rd time, I asked to cancel my order. I asked for a cancelation receipt but was told that system couldn’t provide….What? o The store manager was called up but instead of explaining why, she started to show off by attempting to make eye contact with other waiting customers. She spoke out and started to accentuate that I was trying to prioritize my order in front of other waiting customers who all came in after me. I could see that she didn’t want to be there and that I was interrupting her from another task in the back of the store. She started trying to deflect from the system’s inability to provide proof of order cancelation. It would have been more tranquil if she had attempted to make direct eye contact and spoke directly to me…..All this from a customer asking for proof of order cancelation. Maybe this manager had not been trained in customer service yet. I feel bad for the workers working there. • Is there a company policy that requires document proof when returning or canceling an order? Isn’t cancellation receipt generally required by most well run businesses to process a refund? • The root cause is the ordering system’s inability to provide true and deliverable pick-up time. Is Wingstop trying to create business even if it can’t deliver? Is this...
Read moreIt's not often that I write a bad review. I love to recognize good service and try to do so as often as I can, but when service is sub par I try to give the benefit of the doubt. But this place...wow. I just can't.
So first of all, take the positive reviews with a giant grain of salt. One is by the owner and one is by SOMEONE WHO HASN'T EVEN SET FOOT IN THE PLACE...is this real life??
Where do I begin...the place is filthy. Every table was covered in crap. I mean it's wings so I get it; and I initially thought the person cleaning tables was running behind but I didn't see anyone clean a single table once. And I was there quite a while. Which brings me to my second point: however long they tell you it will take for your order, double it. We were told 20 mins and we got ours way after that, and it seemed the same for everyone else in the restaurant.
The wings aren't horrible, but there's much better in Easton, let alone the entire Lehigh Valley. Even Buffalo Wild Wings down the street is better!
There are a billion other minor inconveniences, well at least minor compared to the glaringly awful things about this place. There are no napkins, just hard kraft paper towels that do nothing. And no wet naps. What kind of wing place doesn't have wet naps??
Oh and they have one of those soda machines with a bunch of different flavors. Cool, right? Sure, except that they're out of (or are too cheap to stock?) most flavors.
In short: Never. Again. Don't waste your time, because trust me, you will waste a whole lot of it and be rewarded with food...
