We were excited to visit a bakery in our visit back into our hometown. Unfortunately the experience was terrible. The entire staff seemed to be in a bad mood, and that energy was not only evident, but contagious as well. We felt our mood quickly shift as the barely interested and barely helpful tone of the staff members forced us to really go out of our way to make sure they understood our order. When the order came out, we had to go back to the counter on several occasions as we realized items missing. The quality of the food was also bad. A “Pan con tortilla” was more of a tostada with scrambled eggs that most of us can whip up quickly at home in a rush. All of the food ordered was stale and bland, and truly not anything we care to eat again, much less pay for. This experience made us do a do-over at Pinecrest bakery, and that confirmed what we had thought, that Ricky Bakery was a terrible experience as Pinecrest Bakery was glorious in comparison. Wish I would have saved myself the $40 at Ricky’s and gone straight to Pinecrest...
Read moreToday I walk into this bakery & first thing I see is no social distancing. I said to my husband, I don’t want to eat here ( I should’ve trusted my instincts) he said well let’s just grab a coffee and a pastry so you have something in your stomach. I said fine, and I ordered a coffee and two chicken empanadas. While I ordered people were rushing in & shoving against each-other to pick up orders, I guess this bakery has no management. I told my husband, let’s go back to the car & we will eat there. When we got to the car, we grab the empanada “that were warm in the exterior”, however, when we took a bite, the chicken empanadas were ice cold inside. These empanadas clearly were not made today, & clearly they didn’t sell the day before and they froze them, taking them out today to resell. The staff never fully heated them to the interior. I gagged with nausea. I didn’t even waste my time to return them, I just won’t be...
Read moreTerrible service again! Stopped in this morning to buy some pastelitos. I was the only customer in the store. 2 employees at the counter, one seemed to be the mod, another gentleman was mopping the floor. While waiting to be helped another employee walked in said hello and then acknowledged me. After placing my order she walked over to the other employees and reacted to something said to her. I stood there while the 3 disputed back and forth. Sadly the only employee that actually was willing to help me quit and walked out of the store. The other 2 kept talking back and forth not caring that there was a customer still waiting. The management is terrible. Employee issues shouldn't be done in front of customers. And forget the customer service. Definitely will tell my friends and customers to go to another bakery that I'm sure have much more...
