Holy hell! I never thought I would run into this place again. I had a vague, distinct memory of this camp. I used to go there when I was a little child, I'd say around 2005 when they were just starting up. I started going to the camp when I was around 6 years old I believe? So essentially the staff were very sweet. I was actually connected with quite a few of them. In fact I actually befriended them a lot quicker than some of the kids for some reason.
But anyways this isn't really much of a review it's more or less just my personal experience from there. I stopped going there when I ended up turning 14 cause I was getting too old. The original age gap was between 5 to 22 years old if I remember correctly. I think they changed it to 5-14.
Going on the field trips was pretty great actually! Literally I ever really like to go into the pool or anything outdoorsy.
On top of that, the the staff were very patient with me considering how many times I probably might have screwed up in the past because whether I decided to act like a complete rebel, or act like a not so nice person in general. Although some of the other kids were like that as well I mean what kid isn't a rebel really?
I do remember that there were only a select few children that would get on my nerves occasionally but that was probably a me problem rather than the children themselves. Although I did have a few people bullying me but that's just them not so much as on me. And it's certainly not the camp's fault, but I do remember that I did get along with quite a lot with the other children.
I also remember that the playground wasn't really there, in fact when someone actually brought it up in a earlier conversation I actually got shot.. In a good way, because I'm not sure where it is because I do remember that when I was attending, there would be 2 separate fields. One of the fields they used to have a pool that wasn't really used that much. In fact, It was probably rotten/old/disheveled.
Literally I was part of the OG members of that camp so I would be able to recollect that XD
If any of you had gone to that camp between 2005 all the way up to probably 2012 I'd say, you guys wouldn't know what I'm talking about. So with that being said my overall experience was pretty good. I mean there was one camp counselor that was kind of bitchy but I won't really say her name for privacy reasons. She knows who she is.
Hahaha yea I had my fair share of good and bad memories, but mostly good. I believed I was a good kid, even though I had my little quirks.
I will say this, I miss the original staff very much and wherever they are I do hope that they are OK.
Haha I'm getting sappy af I know. But literally just out of curiosity I ended up just looking up the name just to see if it still existed and oh existed and I'm pretty happy it still does tbh.
So yea, love from a...
Read moreThey playground itself is amazing! It has plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. Everything was clean and well taken-care of. A big con for me personally was the amount of raccoons we saw as we were walking in. At first I didn’t think much of it, but as we sat down to eat they continued to approach us. There also was no bathroom available, making it a very uncomfortable situation for my 4 year old. There isn’t a lot of parking available, which is a double edged sword, as it wasn’t crowded and the kids were able to use all...
Read moreI have been going with my kids for months. The park has a great atmosphere. The addition of the snow cone truck in the afternoons is great.
I want people to be aware. A few weeks ago, we notice a gentleman with no kids at the park going around and taking pictures of people (kids and adults) with his phone. I became uncomfortable when I noticed he continued to go around and even snapping a picture in our direction. I believe he noticed that I was...
