Pizza My Heart in Palo Alto is a delightful pizzeria that captures the essence of traditional New York-style pizza while adding its own unique California flair. With its mouthwatering pies, friendly atmosphere, and excellent service, it's no wonder this local favorite has gained a loyal following.
Walking into Pizza My Heart, I immediately felt a warm and inviting ambiance. The casual and laid-back decor, adorned with colorful surf-themed artwork, created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The staff behind the counter greeted me with a friendly smile and promptly assisted me in selecting my pizza.
The menu at Pizza My Heart offers a variety of options to satisfy all tastes. From classic combinations like Margherita and Pepperoni to creative specialty pizzas, there is something for everyone. The wide selection of toppings and crust options allows for customization and ensures that each pizza is tailored to individual preferences.
The star of the show, of course, is the pizza itself. The New York-style thin crust is perfectly crisp, yet foldable, just as it should be. The generous toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the cheese is melted to perfection. Whether you prefer a simple cheese pizza or a loaded specialty pie, Pizza My Heart delivers on taste and quality.
In addition to their delicious pizzas, Pizza My Heart also offers a selection of salads and appetizers. The Caesar salad I tried was fresh, with crisp lettuce and a tangy dressing. The garlic breadsticks were a delightful accompaniment, with a golden crust and a flavorful garlic butter topping.
The service at Pizza My Heart was prompt and attentive. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions. The pizzas were made to order and arrived at the table in a timely manner, piping hot and ready to be devoured.
The only slight drawback to Pizza My Heart is the limited seating space. The restaurant can get crowded during peak hours, and finding a table may require some patience. However, the lively and bustling atmosphere adds to the overall charm of the place, and it's worth the wait for a taste of their delectable pizzas.
Overall, Pizza My Heart in Palo Alto is a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. With its mouthwatering pies, friendly staff, and inviting ambiance, it offers a satisfying dining experience. Read moreWe spontaneously decided to have a pizza and came to this place on a Wednesday evening. The place had some customers but was not crowded. We ordered a 14” pizza, paid around 30 usd, went to our table and started waiting…waited for more than 30 minutes, no sign of the pizza coming, had to go and ask for it, then turned out our pizza was waiting for us in the pick up shelf for who knows how long :)) a bit disappointing.
The pizza was fine - fresh, warm, the crust was very tasty. A nice feature of this place is that you can buy a slice of a ready pizza for ~5 usd, the selection of ready pizzas is sufficient.
I liked the interior design of the place - photos on the walls look cozy, the furniture is comfortable, tabletops have beautiful golden color. However, the place is a bit untidy: food on the floor, crumbs on tables and furniture, stains on windows. The staff is polite but may be needs more discipline: couldn’t find a menu for us, didn’t bring our pizza, when working often were casually chatting with each other, hugging, standing together in groups, etc. It’s just confusing when you are sitting and waiting for half an hour. The outside seating is nice, however you will see homeless people hanging around.
All in all, the place is fine, the prices are affordable, food is tasty, interior is nice, but the organization could...
Read moreListen, I had a pizza experience here that ticked me off. I'm talking about Pizza My Heart, and let me tell you, it left my taste buds in disbelief. The recipe? Off. Completely off. Whether it's the ingredients they're tossing around or how they're baking the darn thing, it didn't deliver the symphony of flavors I was expecting. It even had whole garlic slices on it, which still turned out underwhelming. It's just a decent pie, nothing to write home about. And "The Big Sur" with its whole garlic gimmick? Didn't save the day. Didn't even come close. If you're thinking of trying this place, I'd say skip it. Sure, it's got this surfy, laid-back pizza shop vibe going on, but don't let the looks fool you—the bathroom's a mess, and the staff couldn't be less pleasant if they tried. And who in their right mind pairs figs and bacon on a pizza? Not in my book. No way. The crust? Too thin, snaps like a cracker. And don't get me started on the salads—prepackaged and about as flavorful as cardboard. Service? What service? The staff act like they couldn't care less, and the whole surfer decor? Tacky as all get out. Also I ordered the 24 piece chicken wings and they never came and they refused to refund me my $40 for the wings...
