Burning the glass rim, whhaaat? When I walked into The Craft Bar, the bartender was burning the rim of the glass. It was later on that I learned, she was making an “Old Fashioned”— And it looked, woohoo good! So I ordered a beer... boooring right? Well, not that boooring!! Before I figured which beer to have, to my surprise, the bartender gave me 3 samples without me even asking for it... how cool was that!!! Now on to the menu. Since I was in a rush to get back to the hotel, I ordered food to go. Lately I have had this craving for veggies, so I ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts and another of Green Beans. To tell you the Brussels Sprouts, were tasty is an understatement. They were strikingly delicious. And probably would’ve tasted even better, if I would’ve eaten at the restaurant. The Green Beans, unfortunately not as striking as the Sprouts, but still good. I also ordered the Bananas Foster, and as well, they were delish! I need to go back to the Craft Bar, have that Old Fashion and then a Russian Mule... or see what else they make that’s on the unusual spectrum of crafted drinks.

My experience at the craft bar was at best underwhelming and at worst deceptive. The bill-2 well vodka cosmopolitan and fried green tomatoe appetizer... over $43 before tip, during happy hour. The Craft Bar charges the vodka shots (2) at $8.00 each, then added another $6.00 cosmopolitan charge. ($8.00 to $8.50 is the average rate in this town for a well cosmo) Additionally, there is a 3.5% operational charge on everything, including the tax. So just know everything you order is 3.5% higher than priced on the menu. Food-the fried green tomatoes did not stand out among Southern food with each of the four slices 1" thick, hard, and served with a steak knife. *Pro tip-skip the fried green tomatoes, go for the burger, and stop at the liquor store attached to the restaurant and add vodka in yourself....... or just go elsewhere like Brass Tap or Runaway Island (I'm not affiliated at all) or any of the numerous places in PCB.

Edited review: I ordered take out from this place this evening as we have done a few times. See the review below, and it's been good before. Tonight I made a huge mistake in ordering fish and chips before checking the price. But I went ahead with my order even after getting shocked with the tab. I figure it must be worth it, right?! See attached pic!! That was $32! You have to be kidding me, right?! Please tell me the portions on this grouper was a mistake. Otherwise you are robbing people blind! Flavor was fine but surely not worth what I spent. Disappointed for sure!!! :( am a burger snob and this place is awesome in my book. If you want a great burger, get the one with bacon and fig. Amazing mix of flavors. Really nice lady to take my order and take care of me at the bar. Will be back for sure!!

We love craft bar, been going for years. We had a pretty bad experience last night on Halloween. Besides my drinks being empty all night and my sever asking me multiple times if I’d like another drink after I’ve already said yes 5-10 mins ago.

We were CLEARLY local and we asked about the happy hour specials and were obviously there because of happy hour. We had a server named heather, (I think she normally bartends) she takes our order a couple mins before 5pm (she claimed we ordered at 430 but our friends hadn’t even shown up yet at that point so we know that’s not true, she just said whatever to downplay it) after we all ordered happy hour drinks, happy hour appetizers, and happy hour entrees. It was so obvious we wanted to get the happy hour deal, I can’t stress that enough. She proceeds to sprint over to the computer and punch in our order 1-2 mins before 5pm (5 is when the happy hour starts) so she could charge us full price for the happy hour stuff. I made a comment about how we clearly were there for happy hour, it was obvious. Kinda seemed like a joke but no she legitimately was trying to get us to pay more and we did lol. And we all tipped 20% so she had no reason to right her wrong so she told us “whoops, I didn’t know y’all were here for happy hour”. So instead she assumed we are just dying to pay 50% more. After we told her we were there for the specials at the beginning. The way she handled it was like “deal with it”. Been going to craft bar since it opened. By far the lamest way I’ve been treated. Ended up paying double the bill I was expecting because we went for happy hour in the first place. I always leave 20% no matter what because I’m not a dirt bag and I reserve over 20%+ for exceptional service. I’ve been a server for 5 years so I get it but I never went out of my way to just screw customers and then when they bring it to my attention just blow it off. Not cool at all. If you are a sever just know if you act like you don’t want to help me how do you expect me to want to help you? Even though I still did and my friends...

Went in for lunch. Waitress was slow and nothing short of an idiot. I don't want to sit and listen to you talk about your sex life issues right behind me while I'm trying to eat my meal. Asked for the soup as an appetizer and was told after about 15 minutes it would be right up. After another 10-15min we asked again she told us it would be right up and gave some vague excuse about the kitchen having to reheat it again or something. It's soup. It's not complicated. I then overheard her tell the bartender how she forgot to put it in. One of us got a refill on water once. Towards the end of the meal she came and took away an empty glass instead of refilling it. Are you kidding? The burgers are made with some special beef, maybe my pallet simply isn't refined enough but it was not good to me, tasted like old beef. The brussel sprouts were overcooked to the point of mush. Macaroni was dry and nearly tastless. On the other hand, the ciabatta bread grilled cheese and the soup that ended up coming out with the meal was good, as were the hand cut fries and the pulled pork quesadillas but it's hard to mess that up. The beer and mead we ordered were also good. I know a lot of the negativity associated with the visit is because the service was slow and non-attentive, but with only 2 tables in the whole place she had plenty of time to refill my water at the least. This place has potential to be better but for the $60 I spent I was very dissapointed. I may have asked to speak with a manager but there didnt appear to be anyone present with the title. FyI for the Cook, Brussel sprouts only need a few minutes in a covered skillet or steamed and they are perfect. They arent supposed to be softer than...

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because the food and drinks itself were good (not worth the price but good). Other than that it took 45 minutes just to get a cheese platter to us and it wasn’t even super busy. Also, when I asked for a drink, she said I could get that drink and then came back and said she could not make that drink because they were out of something and then said she would make me something else. She didn’t even ask what I would like instead. Then about 10 minutes pass and she brings out two drinks for me and says they actually did have the ingredient and that they wouldn’t charge me for the drink because it’s on the house. Then after 45 minutes of waiting she brings out our cheese platter that was missing the meat. She then told us that they were out of meat and that they gave us more bread. How rude. We were not informed until you served us that you were out of something that we ordered? Talk about unprofessional. Lastly we received our bill which is when we were informed that the cheese platter was $5 more (although their own menu didn’t say that and we weren’t told that) and she charged us for the drink that was “on the house”. We showed her the bill and she took off the one drink but said she was sorry bu the menu wasn’t updated. I’m sorry but that is not my fault that y’all have no updated your menu. So for $50 we got some cheese and three drinks. Lol. Waste of money and time. Do NOT...
